World Grand Prix 2012

  • WEll last time Germany and USA were here was in 2009, so has some years already! :) Italy already came to Brasil in 2010 and last year, but never to Rio!

So I hope they enjoy their time here! :)

I want to be thereeeeeee :P We hope it will be the organization in the coming years in Turkey

  • Cool.

Now, I must start looking for flights to the cities within Asia ^^

  • Don't you think the Grand Prix should use the same format adopted for the World League 2012? ;) Four permanent pools, four rounds along four weeks, and each team having the opportunity to play at home. Besides, it would be very good to have the final round of both tournaments in neuter zones. I don't like the idea of having automatic berth.

in my opinion, WGP and WL iare 2 different logos of commercial tournaments...otherwise, WGP could be named as Womens World League, not World Grand Prix.

besides, in most sports tournaments, there is host team and there is automatic berth(s) as well.....i cannot see much negative influence of it...the host team will lead more spectators to get involved...

anyway, your suggestion is a good try, but i am sure the cost of the WL is much much bigger than WGP, less people will watch women volleyball in format of WL. considering the less competitiveness of women volleyball, i dont think home game will make too much difference to the guest game.

i may not be the tallest,
    the fastest, or the strongest,
but at least i can do one thing better than anyone else,
    to be me...

  • Algeria replacing Kenya will face Chinese Taipei in Oran for the final spot of WGP 2012 on April 27 and 28.

  • CUBA NT 2012

Kenia Carcaces out, Rachel Sanchez maybe, cause the #9 now is Sulian Matienzo!

not breaking news for me at all...a good player with such a foolish association
she has been cut twice now...
absent from COQT and WGP...apparently WOQT as well...

Cuba seems to give up participating in OG...very funny

  • CBV organized as always...changed the city of WGP her ein Brasil...and no longer will be in Rio :(

Now It will be in São Bernardo do Campo! Witch no one understands, It is far away, and the gym there is always empty! :S So...again, good work CBV! ;)

  • In Italy squad we can see for now that Barbollini will not be with the team during WGP. First coach will be Bracci and the second Mazzanti. It is pretty obvious that Italy will play this year WGP without their best players.

I didn't drink beacuse I wanted Bodzio's out but today Bank BPS Boss said that problem wasn't in Him but in Players. And He will stay again. They have also very good contract for Glinka because They will give more money in new season to Club.
