2010 FIVB World Club Championships

    Congratulations to Osasco, they played better and deserve the victory. Foppa was weird today, not to bad, but also without their fighting spirit that is easy to see usually. Definetly Leo was missed, but is not Signorile's fault, she made a good work over all. unfortunely Picci isnt in her best for sure, she was slow, witch is natural, when you are injuried...hehe So no ones to blame, or anything, Osasco just were more focous, and playing better....


    lets see if they can play a bit better the final, so at least we have some emotion in this tournament, so far not very good..I think the calendar dont help, was very demanding year for the players, and they are just begging to grow their shape again.

    Some remarks about poor Foppa !!
    *** The team is definitively weaker than last year's one: the 'old guard' seem to be worn out and too prone to injuries (Picci), the youngest (Signorile, Vasileva) are promising but not yet ready for top-matches
    *** Nucu is a good player but is not as reliable as it was Furst; Arrighetti is stronger in attacking than in blocking. Summing up: very few blocks made by Bergamo, too many conceded.
    *** Bergamo must definitively improve its serving, today it was almost childlish ...
    *** Mazzanti must work hard in order to improve the quality of Fopps's play; moreover, Bergamo should perhaps get back to the market and hire (At least) one experienced and reliable player to support key-roles ...
    Back to work, and let's hope for quick improvements... :wavy:

    I agree with you. Generally Singorile did good job at this WCCH and improved a lot. She's not Leo and maybe never will be such great setter as her, but I appreciate her work. They didn't loose because of Singorile, Osasco was just better.
    I'm disappointed with middleblockers today, both Nucu and Arrighetti played poorly today.
    Picci, maybe If she weren't be injured they could win. She was slow and imprecise.

    Actually the new about Kasia came out in reprezentacja.net, a very known volleyball site in Poland. They said she had a injury in her feet in teh game against Federbrau, and that playing yesterday the semifinal made the injury a bit worse, but that doctors from Fenerbahçe were treatting Kasia, and that they were still not sure if she was gonna play, but didnt said she woulnt too. I think she will play, but maybe she did felt her feet indeed and is taking care of it. Lets hope for the best with her. And tat she plays. ^^

    Thanks for the update (actually the downgrade)... However it was the end of the first set against Mirador yesterday (not Federbrau, the day before) when she had a minor ankle injury. She's ok now, she was in the training with the team this morning, and Fenerbahce Acibadem will be playing in the final with full squad, God forbid any other unfortunate event.

    Tnx a lot. It s so clear when the news or informations written with sources like u do. Other way it looks such a silly rumours like saying player or players with doping. 8)


    Anyway, FBTV's reporter, Aslı Duru, reported that Kasia is so healthy and there s no problem with her.

    I hope the next year in Doha will play Club from Azerbaijan especially Igtisadchi. Very well that the current head coach was fired because his work was suitable for study of preschoolers. For the Athletes with the high level real specialists are needed.

    Maybe They will get the Wild Card like FenerbahceAcibadem this year. Because- FenerbahceAcibadem is in Doha 2010 because of the Silver in the Champions League- is not true. This is not the World Cup where Silver Medalists play automatically.
