Turkey has beated Belgium 5-0(25-16/25-11/25-19 scores without extra sets) in friendly game in Turkey.Both teams are preparing for ECH and WCH currently in Ankara.It looks Kübra Akman's block height is too high for youth level.It's maybe unfair for opponents She can block already teams like Vakıfbank,Eczacı and Fenerbahçe in league easily.Probably she will be the key name in ECH and WCH together with Damla Çakıroglu(OH).She is a huge talent

In three matches to prepare for the European Championships, Germany beat Czech Republic in all three matches.

-Czech Republic - Germany1:3 (25:20; 20:25; 21:25; 23:25). An additional 5th set was played, won by the czech team 15:12
-Second match ended 1:4 (obviously also an additional 5th set was played) for Germany, no set results as of yet
-Czech Republic - Germany 2:3 (20:25; 25:15; 15:25; 28:26; 7:15)

After the three matches against the Czech team, Germany is now headed to Poland, where they will play two games against Poland on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a joint training session on Monday.

Merriment in Youth Girsl' World

In the last days of preparation period for 2011 CEV Girls' Youth European Championship, Turkish National Team is continuing their training sessions cheerfuly.
Head Coach Marco Aurelio Motta stated that he is satisfied about the fitness condition of the girls.
Motta said: "Team is ambitious, desirous and aggressive enough to compete without stress. We are making our trainings cheerful then ever. We are passing over a difficult period to determine the final roster of the team; where each member is as pretentious as the other. We face with two teams both are same energetic when we divide them into two groups. Anyhow, winning against Belgium twice with those two different teams is the evidence to my words. And this is not only a hard situation for me to make my determination for the final roster, but also a very pleasing situation. We, as the technical squad believe them, but the more important thing is; they believe in themselves."

Motta finally added that the last two friendly matches Turkish Girls will play against Italian Girls will give much information about the position of the team

For me it's a very big surprise that Sandra Ittlinger, OH from 1st league team Sonthofen, is not in the team. She showed some quite good performances in 1st league matches this season, while all other players play only 2nd or even 3rd league. Magdalena Gryka is a talented setter, she trains sometimes with Dresden's 1st league team, about the other players I don't know much.
