Croatia NT 2011

  • great video ! what a match :super:

    young Delic

and btw. In the matches with Belarus the roster will be the same as it was in matches with Romania ?

  • According to Polish volleyball websites Croatia will participate in III Agata Mroz's Memorial in September

  • Kirilova maybe leaving :(

Yesterday after Croatia victory, Kirilova said in the repss interview she and the staff dont recieve for 2 months, and that the new Croatia Federation is not keeping with their promices...and if nothing changes till thursday she will resign...:( so that probably means no Osmokrovic in NT again too :(

Kirilova: “We, and I am talking about myself and the coaching staff, have not been paid for 2 months and the newly formed Croatian Volleyball Organization does not stick to the promises they made when we started this job. If nothing changes until next Thursday, I will have to resign from my position as I do not see any alternatives to this situation”.

  • Dear Mr. Wei, FIVB
    President,

    Dear Mr. Meyer, CEV
    President,

    Dear Mr. Matesa, COC
    President,

    Dear Mr. Rogge, IOC
    President,

    Dear Mr. Hickey, EOC
    President,

It's been time that you get informed
about the very critical situation in Croatian

Volleyball. Just two days ago i and all
my staff members (all italian and all

    professionals: assistant coach,
phisical trainer, physioterapist and scoutman) of the

Women's National Team had to resign
because the Croatian Federation and its president Mr.

Zdeslav Barac did not fullfil ANY of
the obbligations they took with the National Team

    Staff and Players.

It's time for the whole Volleyball
World to know in which conditions these people (Staff

and Players) are working since long
time (years!!!). It was the "so-called-president" Mr.

Barac who contacted me and we reached a
    "personal-gentleman-agreement" for me and my

staff to become the Head Coach of the
    Croatian Women's National Team.

I and my Staff as well as different
young players started to work in the beginning of may

and we took part to the European League
with a list of 25 players and we were training

all days with 16 of them. Well, we were
all working for free (because we never get paid

as promised by Mr. Barac) and all
these persons are professionals (not amateur) who

    refused other opportunities
because of the good proposal of Mr. Zdeslav Barac.

We all were working hard, especially
players, even in very bad conditions (traveling very

late at night, very small buses, almost
1 and half month without any uniform and when it

arrived it was only the half of what
federation promised us and our scoutman had to ask

to the men's team to get some t-shirts
because there was no uniform for him, no shoes, etc.

    etc.).

Federation promised us 2 computers and
2 radio (we needed it to work) but we had to buy

them with our money (actually it was
the scoutman buying these stuff with his money...and

he didn't even get his money
    back from the federation
    !!!! - this is just
    unbelivable!!!).

Players should get paid with a very
small amount of money for each day they work for the

national team but...even if this amount
is a true shame (something around 7 euro per

day!!!) they did not get any of this
    money, never.

Now Mr. Barac is complaining with the
Croatian Olympic Commitee saying that he didn't pay

us because the COC didn't pay him, but
this is absolutely not true (and even if it was,

but i dubt it, it doesn't really
matter) because HE TOOK A PERSONAL OBBLIGATION WITH US
SAYING HE WAS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR SALARY!!!

This is a true scandal and i can't
believe that people like this one can own a Federation,

it's a true shame for the Croatian
Sport and even for the FIVB and CEV. People like him have

to get fired because are personally
    responsible for what is happening.

I and my staff gave him time until the
last thursday to fulfil the obbligations he took

and we have been extremely clear: we
did not want him to fulfil the total amount but we

wanted a sign of his honesty: at least
to sign the contracts and a small part of the

amount we had to receive, in the
meantime we kept working with the team like everything

was fine because we are professionals
and the players did not have any fault for this

situation, they are just victims like
us. If nohting would have happened we had to resign

and leave because it was impossible to
    work in these conditions.

After all that, WE DID NOT EVEN HEAR
SOMETHING from Mr. Barac, he did not even had the

courage to tell us the truth and he did
    not even call. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!
    This is the actual
    "so-called-president" of the Croatian Volleyball
    Federation...
Someone has to do something to fix this
    situation...this is a true scandal...

    Irina Kirillova (Head Coach)

    Staff Members:

    Marco Breviglieri (Assistant Coach)
    Simone Franceschi (Scoutman)
    Paolo Zucchi (Physioterapist)
    Alessandro Contadin (Fisical
    Trainer)

    Alessandro Orlando (Fisical Trainer)

  • :white:
poor Irina, poor staff and of course poor players !
so what will happen now with the Women's Volleyball team ? Will Mario Bašelović be the coach ? as it was written at novilist site ?

  • Its really a shame. :(

Croatia suffer from that things for a long time. I remember in 2009 in ECH in Poland, talking to croatia girls, and they were the only team that travelled to Poland with bus!!!!!!FRom Croatia to Poland in a bus, with players high level its really absurd, and tiring for them. :S Its impossible to work like that.

And its a shame cause Croatia girls have very strong spirit, and try to fight till the end every match, and give their best! They are real heroes!!!!!

I know this is not the first time things like that happen, not even the first federation....but I think its time for volleyball to be united, and try to change together this sitation for the Croatian girls! They deserver better.

  • what did you write its an oficial note from Irina? Or the infos you collect in different news? thanks in advance for giving us this news

  • Now I respect more then ever to Croatian players. This message shows under how difficult conditions they are working. Last year they played in World Championships, Mia,Senna,Maja, Sanja was with the team than, seeing how the Croatian federation is behaving, it is obvious that they've made a lot of sucrifices just to play for their countries. I hope Croatia finds an urgent solution and treats these players and coaches as they deserve.

This is an official letter that Irina and her staff sent to the FIVB, CEV, COC, IOC and EOC. After 2 different press conferences, one made by Irina and her staff and one made by the players, it was the only way to reveal this scandal. They can do nothing because they were working without contract (Barac kept saying: "we will sign it tomorrow..and tomorrow..and tomorrow"..unti the end of this story), but it is time to make people know about this situation. The net is a good way, and since the Official Bodies (FIVB, CEV, OLYMPIC COMMITEE, ETC.) did nothing until now, i guess it's the only way. If you know other sites like this one feel free to publish this letter...

It is just unbelivable, the day before last match of European League Barac was together with Meyer (CEV President) in Osjiek smiling and claiming great things for Croatian Volleyball under its presidence...the next day Irina and her staff just left.

Congrats to those who elected this clown...

    Thank you.

It is really a shame. Im sure Croatia Federation have many money problem that disturb work, but that do not justify doing what they did! Croatia girls really deserve better, and I hope with time they can manage to recieve the best treatment! so I hope Croatia or someone can do something to change the situation that is right now!

Ill keep supporting croatian girls, and cheering they will over come all this!!!! Go Croatia!

  • Thank you.

Shame on you Federation

  • fully agree !!
Croatia has amazing players and they could have lots of success but how to do that if the federation is so stupid !? :white:

  • BARAČ NEMA VREMANA ZA GLASU subotu je
    utakmicu s Britanicma s tribina gledao i predsjednik HOU-a (u ostavci?)
Glasa Slavonije pisali ste ono o Kirilovoj? Nemam vremena za vas”
    , bilo

This man is really a CLOWN, instead of explain the situation (he obviously can't) he said he doesn't have time for that journalist because he wrote the truth about Kirillova and her staff.

Where are all the Official Bodies? What the hell are they waiting to dismiss this man? Congrats also to the FIVB, CEV and CROATIAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE who did exactly NOTHING (!!!).

Looks like everyone is very good hiding their head under the sand..

  • big shame  I'm sorry for Croatian players, they didn't deserve to be treated like that... :white:
