Unbelievable: Lube lost at home. I'm waiting for Mamdani's comment about the match.

Only saw the end of fifth set. Lube was leading 14:12 and then serve/out by parodi and a kill block for modena. Match point for Modena will surely be soon on youtube. Modena serve was already on the way out but still hit Miljkovic while changing to backrow 1

The match was really nice and of high level IMO..Modena played great in the first two sets,then Lube came back thanks to Juantorena especially, thetie break looked in theends of the home team until the very end when Modena managed to turn it around so quickly. I liked Lucas and Vettori, Ngapeth played great too but many with too many mistakes and blocks.
Lube needs a more solid OH, Parodi is just a shadow of himself, he's not reliable in attack and sometimes he can't guarantee a good work in reception/defense..

Looking at Perugias scoresheet, i wonder when and how they will try to introduce Russell to their game. Current team with Fromm/Kaliberda as OHs is probably good enough for most teams in the league but when the going gets tough they should rather have an "in shape" Russell in the back hand or starting line up.

Bruno out played Christenson with his experience. In the first 2 sets , Christenson preferred Miljkovic and set very few balls to Juantorena. When he realized ,it is necessary to play with Juantorena more, game's course changed. In the end Modena got lucky .
Vettori is the surprise of the season for me. Very efficient and effective perofrmance.

Biggest problem for Russell is his feeling with De Cecco. He always runs for a kind of set and Luciano provides another one. Their connection sucks. At least they have time to fix it. Aaron will be very needed IMHO. He's still the best receiver we have.

Last year Vettori was our biggest weakness, this season (at least so far) not anymore. Our weakness is the the bench, even if I think that Bossi may play much more. He's a very good middle spiker and if Piano keeps like this (no blocks) he's useless. Furthermore, I hope for winter a hire of a good OH, how much I miss Ishikawa

Lube supposedly has the world's best libero, two of the greatest blockers , a top setter, a legendary OPP, 3 outstanding OHS and still they got swept by Modena in the first 2 sets . For Blengini ; one of the major reason is Juantorena had struggled in the first 2 sets.

Lube is a brand-new team, we all knew since June that during the first 2, 3 months Lube would have had some difficulties (time to know each others etc.). Nevertheless, they defeated teams like Perugia, Verona and Belchatow.

I'm tired of Lucchetta's nosenses during the match. I'm tired of Ngapeth's craziness as well.

Talking about nosenses: Matteo Martino is now taking part in Uomini & Donne, a TV program were people go to find the love of their lives on the paper; actually they go there for the fame, to be famous, to get nights as guests into discos and so on. And most of all, it is considerated a trash TV program. It's a pleasure watching this guy adding new horrible chapters to his life, instead of taking his ass to the gym and work hard, like a professional volleyball player should do.

Regarding CL nothing has changed as far as I know, regarding play-off we're going to see final 8 as usual, but I don't know if semifinals are going to be with at least 3 victories (as it was until last season) or only 2

Thanks. So unlike Russia and Poland, at least Italy will have a complete schedule. For me playoff time is the best part of the season and cutting this would really take a lot of pleasure from me.....

I agree, but I don't blame Russia and Poland: they were both forced to do it because of FIVB rules regarding olympics qualifications and, more in general, because of too many matches with national teams and top players cannot rest at all. Talking about that, why the hell sponsors should invest in this sport when a regular season+playoff lasts not more than 5 or 6 months?

Modena is putting a show against Perugia so far.
Meanwhile Molfetta is trying so hard to lose first set against Lube.
