Thanks! Did you know if Russia started with Voronkov or was Podlesnykh starting and was replaced?
Voronkow is sub.

They don't have OPP.
Kliuka plays as OPP. Volkov and Podlesnykh are starting OHs
For a class A team pk, It's gonna be tough without a real OPP
Russia and Poland game style is pretty similar, but Poland has a much better serve and reception. I think Russia needs to take some risk in the service line
That Kubiak chance ball could've changed everything but Russia didn't take it.
Russia had a chance to take set #2. But Volkov missed one crucial spike, and Iakovlev made a float jump serve miss. Kliuka had a spike outside at set point. But without Kliuka's spike, the set #2 was finished early. Fabian again, made some bad choices in crucial moments, and set up ball to pos 3 a few times.
I'm not sure why Sammelvuo used Tetyukhin as a pinch server when Podlesnykh is available.
Am I missing something? I didn't watch the whole second set.
Poland is punishing Russia with their serves
Pankov ignoring the middles again
Poland seem awake now after they struggled through set #2.
Kubiak played better than previous games, so the pressure on Leon and Kurek are lessened.
Just send Vlasov inside. Russia needs more size.

Vlasoc may help with the attack, but he is a loophole in the block but Pankov has a better connection with him than Kurkaev
Russia body language looks they gave up already, this match is done.
Russia made many unforced errors. The match leans towards to Poland gradually.
OMG Kurkaev is useless.

Kurkaev can't block anything here. I would have taken that gamble.
if it weren't for Olympic Silver, this season is a total failure for Russia NT. Sammelvuo has until WCH next year to win Russia's first big tournament but even that may still be a question mark.
The Poland crowd really came through as the seventh player. They were going nuts!
No wonder Russian team could hardly recover. They were at it every point of the game. Serve, attack or block point. It's just insane.
Sammelvuo proved himself a stubborn coach again. Obviously three OHs were not working. If he had Zhigalov play as OPP, and Kliuka and Voronkov play as OHs, the match may be different.
