Gotta love a full slate of volleyball in the middle of the week! Some big games on tap tonight, of course all concluding with the big main event.

PGE v Jastrzebski- PGE coming off of a comfortable win where they even rested some starters in anticipation for this game, should I think win this fairly easily. Jastrzebski suffered a devastating loss to Gdansk 2 nights ago and I feel they may be running out of gas.

AZS v Indykpol. I think this is a good spot for the guests. They have more quality and should be hungry to get back on winning form.

Gdansk v Transfer- My oh my is LOTOS ever struggling. They were very fortunate to come back and beat Jastrzebski, suffering 2 blowout defeats before that to PGE and Modena. Transfer, though still without Jaroscz and Ferens, have looked an improved side as of late and Klinkenberg certainly looks a useful addition to the squad. I definitely expect Transfer to take at least a set and quite possible 2 tonight!

And finally RESOVIA V ZAKSA- What a mouth watering fixture. Might we perhaps be seeing the changing of the guard in Polish Volleyball, with ZAKSA now rising to the forefront? We will find out tonight. Resovia is of course without Nowakowski. They did bring Holmes back as a replacement, but as far as I know, he will not feature tonight. We all know about Kurek, and he has the ability to take a game over and more or less win by himself, as we witnessed against PGE. With that said, ZAKSA has looked very impressive this year. I think they have the advantage at the Setter and Libero positions, with Tonuitti and Zatorski, respectively. Tillie is world class; Deroo, Gladyr, Bociek, Buszek are all very reliable players. If ZAKSA had their own fans behind them tonight, I would be on them, but at Rzezsow tonight, I am less confident. But I do think they will put up a great fight; definitely take a set, quite possibly 2, and who knows anything can happen in the 5th!

Cheers! And as usual, would love to hear others thoughts on tonights fixtures.

    Thoughts on tonight's games?

Lube should defeat Milano 3-0 with minimal issues.

Modena v Piacenza is interesting. If N'Gapeth is back that is certainly a big boost for Modena, but will he be a distraction, and might Piacenza nip a set off of them. I admit I have not watched a single Piacenza match this year, so I would love to hear others thoughts.

Molfetta v Trento also intrigues me. Trento are heavy favourites, coming off a big win over Modena, however I think Molfetta can take a set or two off of them.

Verona in my mind should handle Padova relatively easily 3-0.

Ravenna v Latina is somewhat of a tossup. I think I am leaning towards Latina, but again would love to hear others thoughts!

Very excited for this game! I must admit that I am surprised at how well Gdansk has played this past year or so, as on paper, Mika, Murphy Troy, and perhaps Schwarz are their only world class international calibre players. Belchatow is by far the more talented team at every position, but it has not translated to the court.

I think this is a great bounce back spot for Belchatow coming off of a crushing home floor loss to Resovia, and my initial prediction was a 3-1 victory. I am hesitant however, because Gdansk has been playing with great continuity and chemistry, and they mesh very well together.

Does anybody think Gdansk could actually win this match? Or at least make it a 5 setter?
