Yesterday Erika Coimbra talked a little bit of Visser. For those who don't know Visser played in Brazil for 2 years.
Erika said Visser dated a brazilian for 9 years therefore she speaked portuguese very well. When Erika played abroad Visser managed to help her. They were friends and Erika said Visser was really happy trying to get pregnant and being a mother.RIP.

Some reports even stated their car was missing. I'm sorry but I remembered what happened a while ago with 4 youngs kids in Brazil when they were missing for almost a week and then the car was found with the bodies inside and we learnt it was an accident while driving so the car felt on a river and none of them could get out.

I would love to see Piccinini playing once again in Brazil even if it's in Osasco. I don't get the whole "Osasco needs a stronger hitter because Jaque is a good receiver". Piccinini is an all around player and the chance of having Jaque+Picci+Sheilla is great for any team. Plus, with Picci they would only assure good receiving players who would give more chances to players as Thaisa and Ade to shine. I really hope Osasco can sign with her although I'm not so sure it will happen

Brazil won 3x2 against Porto Rico! Gongrats to the girls! Laís (libero) got the MVP, best digger and libero. Laiza got the best blocker award! Even tough, I´m not really satisfied with the work that has been made at the youth category. Too many short players with no projection for the Adult team whreas players like Amanda (1,89), Marina (1,92) and Karol (1,87) benching... from the ones who where playing this final match, only Drussyla (the go-to hitter) and Lais are really promissing...
Well, to be honest Amanda started the game and made some silly mistakes therefore Gabi came to play. Lana replaced Lorenne who was doing a bad game. Karol came to play as well but she didn't do it right.
I can understand the whole "taller players should be more invested" but at the same time maybe it's not what CBV wants and the blame is not all on Thomas. Maybe CBV wants to win the championship no matter what therefore Thomas will play with players who are ready right now. If I'm being honest if we kept the tallest players yestarday (Lorenne and Amanda) we would've lost the championship.
Here and there when I talk to the coaches I hear some saying national team should be the one focusing on the tallest players and helping them in order to make it through but at the same time I heard some coaches saying clubs should do that because NT will call what they have as it's best.
I say it's more about what CBV (Ary Graça) wants. Remember some years ago he said "youth and junior team MIGHT have a tall setter"? Coaches then kept Dani Lins, Ana Tiemi and Betina. So if CBV wants, yes, the tallest players will have priority but if CBV wants only to win championship and as a brazilian you know how things works here because we only want titles, then best players right now will make it through no mater if they are short or not.

For today, I haven't the stats but Rasic and Ravva scored more than Fabiana. So we can think that Fabiana was more embarrassed against Cannes than against the previous opponentsActually I'm more with Matthias said. Cannes served very well and Sesi got a lot of trouble receiving and even when they had the chance Dani Lins was setting more balls to Tandara, Elisangela and Sassa. It doesn't change the fact Fabiana didn't play as good as yesterday but anyway she can't score if her setter won't set balls to her

Fabiana was almost unstoppable by tge blocking system of Galatasaray
I like that Dani Lins changed the ball for Fabiana. At Superliga she's trying a faster ball but lower, therefore the opponent has better chance to block Fabiana. I just love when Dani Lins set this ball that it's not that fast but gives Fabiana the chance to spike really hard.

Great to see Fabiana playing once again in a club with a setter who knows her. As Joana said Sesi needs to focus on their receive so Dani can set to Fabiana.
Btw I can't believe GS doesn't have any other OH. Calderon is so off the game maybe Barbolini could try another OH to improve their receive and improve their game.

AFAIK Cintha Boersma got a prize as the best foreign player for the season 97/98 in Brazil. She was really a solid player receiving, digging, blocking. Very few mistakes. Erna played good as well but when Rexona (Unilever) got to the finals she didn't play her best and she was often replaced by a young Raquel Silva. At the last game Erna started as a bench player and didn't renew for the 98/99 season. Cintha Boersma played the 98/99 season for Rexona once again.
I might have some full games from both playing here in Brazil but I'm a little bit clueless about what's the best site for uploading.
