Without those benefit maybe you wouldn't have any tournament to watch
Olympic Games - London 2012 Women (qualification process)

Thanks.
Actually it was just my guess on the rules since it is not specified somewhere in the WOQT site.
If Japan continues to be in top 3, then another Asian team is possible to be included via the AVC slot.
But i hope CUB will be in the top 3....:)
im sure that Russia and Japan %100 will qualify to be in top 3 case,
and also Korea %80 will qualify to be in top 3 or being best Asian,
there is only one spot for Serbia and Thailand
-
So you took CUB out of the Olympic games.
Anyhow, I'll take CUB out of the top 3 if Chinese Taipei beats them in the WOQT. A defeat to TPE gives a possibility of being defeated by the rest of the teams that they are going to play still.
Still optimistic that CUB will perform good here....:)

to be held in Japan to complete the Olympic Games roster of twelve teams. The four teams will be decided as follows:- First three ranked teams to qualify, then the best ranked Asian team among the remaining teams participating in the tournament.
(if an Asian team is ranked among the first three ranked teams, then the next Asian team will be qualified). -

so sad she couldn't help
I know, but with the standings and current shape that looks very in favour for Russia, its no need to "gamble" with a injured player either. Hopefully the rest will make her good so she can come back earlier, maybe to Yeltsin Cup or the friendly games against Italy in june, still needs matches before OG.

What is the cause of her injury

What is the cause of her injury
She has a back injury.
I thought it was great of her to go to Japan to help the team, but if her injury is that bad it might have been better to take Shcherban into the team But anyway Russia should make the qualification also without them.
-
Instead of Japan Russia should be the certain qualifier from this tournament. Fighting for the rest places should be strong.

Hi,
Who has a better chance of winning, Korea or Serbia?
