2010/11 China Volleyball League A (Bridgestone Champion)

  • Thank you! :flower:

I think it's very nice chinese players could play in a national league. They can improve a lot this way!

Just the last thing: what kind of competition are National Games?

  • to marshmellow

the non-scoring statistics are never released, thats why we cannot see the whole performance of a player
but it is said we do have technicial statistic members for serve reception, defense and setting skills in CVL...i have no idea how they could benifit from it not releasing the data to us...strange association

not every sportsman could take part in Olympics, most of them are contributing themselves to the sports they are doing. As a member of a provincial team, of course representing their team to claim distinction achievements in China National Games (State sports games with the same mode of Olympic) will be their great honour.

    for chinese players
    :olympia:
1st place - Olympics * (incl. International championships, world cups, as well as continental tournaments) (state level)
2nd place - National Games (provincial level)

  • well bartek

I just watched the second match between Zhejiang Kaiyuan and Tianjin Bridgestone, for me its not a very big surprise compared with the other game.

the both team are flexible and balanced in attacking and defending, so it deserved a thrilling match till the tie breaker. from the statistics (although the non scoring skills are not shown), we could read something interesting from the data.

Zhejiang Kaiyuan setter led a great match all through the game because she made all the attackers flying while the ball has not fallen on the flloor. the outside hitter Li Jing, opposite Qiu Yanan and two blockers are quite high efficient, who were big troubles to Tianjin Bridgestone. Tianjin tried to make some trouble to Zhejiang, but they seemed not find a good solution to cope with the attacks from the other side. On the contrary, Yang zhou and Wang xianfen (2 middle blockers from Zhejiang Kaiyuan) got a functional and practical way (14 blocks in total from the 2 players) to block Tianjin attackers.

Tianjin Bridgestone's serve reception was under a high pressure from the very beginning of the game, combination attaks were very limited. NT setter, 2010 WCH best setter Wei Qiuyue could only pass the ball to the two hitters: Yin Na and Chen Liyi. The latter even took 37% attack possesion of the whole team. Yin Na scored only 9 pts while Chen Liyi scored 28 pts.

CCTV live programme focused on the defending champion's match today, but Tianjin apparently encountered a little resistance to win the league. the next game, Tianjin will come back to their devil home stadium to face Zhejiang again. a win will secure Zhejiang to go to the final, but Tianjin should do much better (3-1 or 3-0) to catch up from behind. The second leg meeting will directly give us a finalist.

What a pity that we did not watch the biggest surprise game. from the data, Brakocevic and Zhou Yuan were seeomed not on their peak condition. up-n-downs could be the big reason to be defeated...

hopefully CCTV will give a equal opportunity to us to watch the second of Evergrande (home) against Shanghai (guest) on Tuesday.
