And also colombia is going with the junior team. Only three players are adults: Ampudia, Charry and Zuleta.

  • Peru training in Iquitos

  • I think Frecuenzia Latina will broadcast the games from Peru's Pool - http://www.frecuencialatina.com/copapanamericana

But I don't know about the other...will Norceca available any link like last year?

Frencuencia Latina only will transmit Peru matches.

I'm not sure about other web pages. But just in case...

  • Coaches explain here what their teams are looking for in Pan American Cup.

    http://www.norceca.net/Coaches…challenge%20in%20Peru.htm

Top four NORCECA teams and top two CSV teams will get spots in 2014 FIVB World Grand Prix.

IMO 2014 Grand Prix will be a great preparation to World Championship, but only Argentina's coach commented about it. Most teams are using Pan American Cup as a preparation to U20 World Championship. Does anyone know another way to qualify to 2014 Grand Prix? I mean, will South American Championship offer spots too?

  • Maybe other nations don`t want to qualify for the world Grand Prix, cause your are only spending Money and if u don`t reach the final, you only have costs

  • In that case in Europe 2013 ECH should be qualification, from Euro League probably 2 Teams so from ECH 7 Teams.

  • :sos:

For Colombia, who will play ?
Margarita or Maria (the usual spiker of the Colombian Youth NT) MARTINEZ ?

NB Chuleta doesn't seem to be in the team.
So except for Chuleta and if Maria Martinez is here the rosters for Mexico and Colombia are not very far from those of 2012 game which was very tight

  • Mexico and Colombia haven't qualified to WGP before. they prefer using PAC as a preparation to U20WCH
Brazil is automatically qualify to WGP.
NORCECA have 4 vacancies and South American only one. Maybe Argentina's coach mention WCH because Argentina have qualified to WGP since 2010 and play since 2011.

South American Championship doesn't offer spots to WGP.

  • thanks to all for the information.
so, what are the favorite teams to get the gold?
Dominican Rep., USA, Cuba, Puerto Rico in that order?
Peru, Argentina and Canada are also going with their full force but they are one step behind and probably their main goal is to get the GP2014 ticket.
Brasil/Colombia/Mexico are junior teams with not real aspirations to the podium, Am I correct?
what happened to Venezuela?, their 2008 olympic roster seemed very promising but vanished soon after.

  • Puerto Rico almost puts his young team too : no Enright, no Mojica, no Cruz ...
And the coach of this team talks about Grand Prix too ;)

Rafael Olazagasti, coach of Puerto Rico:
“The main objective is to qualify to the Grand Prix "

  • so, what are the favorite teams to get the gold?

    In my opinion:
    1. USA
    2. Dominican Rep.
    3-4. Cuba/Brasil
    5-6. Argentina/Puerto Rico
    7. Peru
    8-9-10. Costa Rica/Canada/T&T
    11-12. Colombia/Mexico

So WGP in next year for: USA, Dominican Rep. Cuba, Brasil, Argentina and Puerto Rico (like previous :D ). I'm will very suprised if Peru or anyone else will qualified to WGP ;)

I compare my prediction with real result later 8o
