I remember that 3 seasons ago Muszyna played in CEV Cup. They had to fly to Israel and twice to Azerbaijan. They were eliminated in quarterfinals. They had to pay around 100 000 Euro and the prize was 6 000 or 8 000 Euro. Clubs had to pay for each stage of the competition, for each players etc. And you have to pay if you dont have 12 players in team roster (like Muszyna did). They had problems with CEV becaused they blocked Cvetanovic and she couldnt play in CEV cup (cause she was a member of some team from Romania for 2 months). European cups are really expensive.

USC Müster lost a friendly match against Schweriner SC with 0:4
-
The Day after the USC Münster lost 0:4 in another practice game the result was 2:3 for Schwerin.
The newspaper in Wiesbaden wrote an articel, that both setter has health problems. Kemmsies (Setter No. 1) has got knee Problems and Mertens (Backup) has got pfeiffersches glands fever for the second time, so Wiesbaden hope that she will return quickly, because the second time is not so bad if it will be the first time.

I think especially 3 matches of those are interesting: Wiesbaden vs. Vilsbiburg is really hard to predict and Potsdam - Schwerin and Münster - Stuttgart are no easy first matches for the favorite guest teams.
-
I agree, those matches will be very interesting. Also Aachen-Erfurt will be interesting but in a different way, it will show if Erfurt is ready for 1st league. Their roster is not too impressive...

I can't judge Erfurts roster really - I simply know no player of them, but at least they lack experience, I guess. But they might learn enough to beat rival Suhl in the decisive moments at end of season and to decide, which club of Thuringia will stay in first league (if one has to leave at all).

Quite a few injury problems already at the start of the season:
- Dresden will miss Jocelyn Birks due to knee problems today and Barbora Purchartova had a foot injury but might be ready to play
- Schwerin will miss Jenny Geerties with an ankle injury today
- Münster's Ines Bathen can only play backrow due to a leg muscle injury
- Wiesbaden's 2nd setter Mertens is out with an illness and the 1st setter Kemmsies has knee problems, plus MB McCage is still out with a broken finger and OH Dora Grozer with a knee injury
- Vilsbiburg will miss Lena Stigrot with a muscle tear and several other players had health problems lately
- Erfurt has only one healthy setter because Ali Skayhan is currently out with back problemsI hope for good matches today nevertheless
-
Hey dear do you have more infos about Vilisburg players conditions? I read on local newspaper that they should be ready to play, aren't they?

I don't have more info than what I wrote. Stigrot for sure will be out, the rest should be able to play.

And here comes Dresden's curse yet again: Eva Hodanova going out with a knee injury in 1st set. They way it happened definitely looked like ACL

Is it possible that some of these national team members have played too much volleyball this year, with all the various Olympic and Euro qualifiers?
-
very impressive win from Schwerin against Ptsdam, but what the hell is technique???
-
Wery exciting game to watch, both teams on similar level and some really nice defences/attacks (23:25 three times) Schwerin made the difference trough the middle. It was time to see how Barfield does when she has less attention on her because of stronger players on 2/4...
Also Potsdam has a good, competitive and especially more balanced team than last year so far... -

Referee indeed was nightmarish about technique and it was very painful when Geerties had a CLEAR double touch at 22:23 for Potsdam in 3rd set, it should have been 23:23 but Schwerin ended up scoring the point.

Indeed statistics reveal, that the middles of Schwerin were their main advantage against Potsdam, but also their reception was clearly better.
A little surprise was Erfurt stunning Aachen, which are very valuable three points to stay in first league of course.

Stuttgart with a very impressive performance so far, leaving Münster no chance in the first two sets.
