Score at the 'break'/ after 2 sets: US -18, +14.

I'm really liking SSS. I like how she varies her sets from "USA fast" for Parsons and then push it high up to the penthouse for Rhamat.
Wait, are we talking snow covered balls for a middle blocker? What's the world coming to

Rhamat can effectively touch 11' 3 1/2" (per USAVB); so yeah: some of them sets gotta get frost on 'em!

Yeah, lightly dusted. She's letting Rhamat used her hops and it's beautiful.

USA wins third set 25-23; leads 2 sets to 1 (-18,+14,+23).

I wanna see!
Rhamat didn't get used effectively last year with NEC, or effectively didn't get used. I know she can jump out of the building and has arms the length of a football field.

Only saw her perform once - a repeat of the Stanford-FL. NCAA semi in 2017 - I thought "this woman got hops"!

Tayyiba actually looked like a real coach compared to the guy we sent to Pan Am.
Benson is no bueno. I actually prefer Courtney an OH over someone who actually makes money in Germany as a libero.
Lee as usual started real slow out of the gate but gained confidence in her new position as an Opp midway to the second set.
SSS could make it really interesting for the NT coaches next season.

US wins 3-1 (-18,+14,+23,+20). Onward to a match with Puerto Rico. SSS was my MVP!
-
Gotta say that Coach Haneef-Park is showing true potential as a future top-level coach (USWNT Assistant and/or HC (I hope: soon)). She "gets it" w/ the team.
-
Second day's match has begun; USA beat PR 25-19 in the 1st. Livestream craps out every so often...you'd think that the US, with its wealth, could do one okay!
-
US has won the first couple of sets: +19, +16. Stream's improved some; both sets were tight 'til mid-set, then the USA pulled ahead in both. Anyone out there?
-
The US team swept the Puerto Ricanos -- went away to shop after start of Set three -- know they made a comeback to win it 3-0. Next up: Dominican Republic.

It’s incredible how the panorama f

Going to a fourth set against Dominica; score is USA +19, +17, -25 so far. Whoops - there goes the good(?) old feed again - just as the 4th is about to start. Ciao

score is USA +19, +17, -25
I am not familiar with this method of score keeping shorthand. What is it in longform?

To answer, the US just defeated DR 25-22 in the 4th. Therefore you put a plus (+) in front of the losing score. When the USA lost the third set, it was 25-27. So, you put a negative (minus) sign in front of your own losing score. Hence the match (for the US) was: 25-19, 25-17, 25-27, 25-22. That equals +19, +17, -25, +22

Got it. If the third set was anything but 25-27 I think I might have figured it out

Yeah -- many are not "hip" to this shorthand, VB notation. As an AC, it was commonly used between different schools. It also was a method for the SID (Sports Information Director) to get the scores and publicize them: w/ out wasting time writing in that longer, more conventional manner (longform, as you just put it)
