I didn't understand the article like that and I don't think they have the money. My understanding was that Völker wants to use the break in order to find a better solution for the OPP position, but with the players they already have...

Ok, that's right. I forget the Monay Problem.

Best possible choice Maybe they can send Kästner or Cansu on loan to Suhl for the rest of the season if Kästner recovers well.
-
No surprise .

Mareen von Römer still hasn't recovered from her pneumonia and won't be able to play in the near future, Alex Waibl even fears she might not play at all this season anymore. I find it a bit weird, pneumonia shouldn't take so long to recover unless there are complications I already wondered if she might be pregnant and they keep it secret until everything is safe...

Straubing renew the contract with Sofia Turla untill the End of the Season and will sign another young Player.

Sarah Straube replaced Mareen von Römer untill the End of the Season.

League restarts today
15. Januar 2020
19:00 Stuttgart - Münster
19:00 Suhl - Vilsbiburg
19:10 Potsdam - Dresden*
19:30 Aachen - Schwerin
19:30 Wiesbaden - Straubing
Potsdam - Dresden on Sport1, all other matches on sporttotal.tv
Dresden is angry, they requested the match to be postponed due to their setter situation (King arriving back from NORCECA qualifier just yesterday) but the league denied, so it's not sure yet with what kind of line-up Waibl will start.
Suhl is down to 9 players, they haven't signed a new 2nd setter yet.

Potsdam is favourited (not too strongly though) by the betters against Dresden, about what I agree this time.

Marrit Jasper got injured after she landed. It didn't look good
-
Stuttgart loss at home vs Münster 2:3 and Straubing with a big Win in Wiesbaden.
-
Straubing is just better than Wiesbaden this season, this result came as no surprise.
-
Stuttgart - Münster 2:3 (25:22 18:25 21:25 25:16 13:15)

MVP: Celine van Gestel / Linda Bock
Suhl - Vilsbiburg 1:3 (28:26 23:25 14:25 17:25)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2019-20/Women/2071.pdf
MVP: Hester Jasper / Nikki Taylor
Potsdam - Dresden 3:0 (26:24 25:18 25:22)

MVP: Brittany Abercrombie / Nikola Radosova
Waibl is such a child, "punishing" the league for not allowing to postpone the match by playing the TV match with his substitutes apparently was more important for him than winning Alright, I understand that he rests King and Weitzel who were with NT until Sunday, but Mlinar got eliminated on Friday, Stigrot played only one set in NT and Kubura was not with any NT, so why not use them?
Aachen - Schwerin 0:3 (22:25 19:25 17:25)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2019-20/Women/2070.pdf
MVP: Mareike Hindriksen / Britt Bongaerts
Marrit Jasper twisted her ankle by landing on the ball after getting blocked I never saw this before in 20 years of watching volleyball. But she was able to stand up and walk out (with support), so maybe it's not too serious.
Wiesbaden - Straubing 1:3 (19:25 19:25 25:21 21:25)
http://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2019-20/Women/2072.pdf
MVP: Frauke Neuhaus / Celin Stöhr

If there's any video available of that, I'd love to watch it lol

Stuttgart made by far too many mistakes, not only in service, so Münster was lucky to have the chance to exploit this, also Stuttgart didn't win any tie-break so far in this season.
