Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2020-2021

  • Himeji and Kurobe are giving great fights :box:

Evening we got Saga x PFU too. Awesome day

It'd be nice if lower half teams start winning against top half teams more often

  • I wish Denso wouldn't play Tamaki Matsui tonight. I can't root against her

  • Kurobe showed some stuff, but JT countered with their stuff

  • 2020.11.15 Results Week something Day something I can't keep track any more. I don't know why I even started with that nonsense

Hitachi is really letting me down :(

My Bluebells beat Denso for their 6th straight V9 Champ League 9-ball Championship (6/6). Why can't Himeji beat Denso :hit:

  • Does anyone know Wakaba Sugihara from her Toray Arrows days? She's listed everywhere as OH. She's with Kurobe now and I noticed in the highlights that she's playing MB. Kurobe has one decent MB, #14 Aya Hosonuma, and three untested college kids. That's all they have. They need another MB badly.

Natsumi Watabiki, who surprised everyone last year (5th in blocks/set), jumped ship this summer from Kurobe to PFU. That hurt.

  • I see in the stats that SAGA Energized Bunny #13 Akari Shirasawa got in for three serve subs :serve:

    Baby steps

That's how Hitachi's Cute Rookie Alert Girl Rui Nonaka worked her way into playing time

That top four is going to be tough to crack. This year there is no Final Stage for teams with momentum to move up. At the end of two Round Robins the top four teams go straight to Semifinals. You snooze, you lose.

  • I hope this trend of squirts, or squorts, or whatever they're calling these new mini-skirts, doesn't continue. Saitama donned them against NEC. They look like homemakers. They don't have a stylin' coach like Himeji so they come off like someone found some old aprons in the closet and said "Hey! I've got an idea!".

Do you know who has the highest reception rate so far?

  • 👀 @ NEC x Hitachi match

Maybe they're looking at Shimamura? LOL

I didn't really watch that match yet to say if anybody shined, but looking at the stats Sarina Koga was an efficient 16/26 @61% with 6/7 from downtown, 3 blocks and an Ace. She's back! I love it!
