Looks like NEC took that loss personally

first character is hit and the second is point, where you are hitting/contacting the ball. In order to have better control in spiking (straight hits) you need to hit on the top of the ball.
scoring points are 得点 (tokuten) -

scoring points are 得点 (tokuten)oh, contact point of the ball
why does translate as this RBI acronym I wonder
-
NEC looks seriously pissed, which is pretty cool
Aika Hayashida got in a serve sub for Toyota. I forgot about her serve. She's a gentle creature, lets out a heavy sigh and looks like she's going to lollypop it over. Then bang! It goes fast and low. She's a cool player with a 314cm spike point
-
Koga and Shimamura especially are relentless. It's beautiful
I want my NEC back

it is a correct translation as well. In baseball hit the ball and a run scored by the hit, would of course be RBI.
here is a Japanese baseball box score from the Japan Series last year.
above the line are the batting stats, below pitching
from left to rightInside the parenthesis, position played
Player name
At bats 打数
Hits 安打
RBI 打点
Walk 四球
Hit by pitch (dead ball is the direct translation) 死球
Strikeout 三振
Pitching from left to right
Dot winning pitcher (white), losing (black)
Player name
Innings pitched 投回
Batters faced 打者
next four are same as above
earned runs 自責 (should have 点 added as well, but limited to two characters) -

I give Toyota props for going from 10 to 18 to 24 against this brutal onslaught from NEC. An epic smackdown

Speaking of that uber thin Toyota libero, Yukako Yasui, she's taking a break to rest for a while:
QuoteYukako Yasui, who belongs to our team, is treating her illness.
We would like to inform you that we will be taking a rest for a while.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our fans and all concerned.
We would appreciate it if you could watch over us warmly.
That makes four players this year 'taking a rest' from/for an unnamed illness who are to be 'watched over warmly':
- Ai Kurogo
- Yurika Mizoguchi
- Rina Sasaki
- Yukako Yasui
Other players may have done this in the past but I don't recall any actual announcements about anyone. These are different than announcements about players with injuries like Shiori Aratani and Sakurako Shimada

This weekend would have been the end of the ambiguous Second Round, based on it being 2/3 of the matches everyone was scheduled to have played. Since there are no matches being played this weekend, here's the star chart at the end of Round 2

Saga recruited someone from Okayama. I can't translate it on my phone and I can't remember her name either from when she played for Ok. Saga is way too crowded right now but I guess that's how they've always been. I understand a lot of people have huge expectation for that HS twin star plus Mandai who hasn't been able to play yet.
I think the ones to exit will be Sakae (considering she already reached the 230 games milestone like Nana when she retired), Nomoto and Nagaoka all the same age and maybe Imamura. I don't know with Foluke but I don't see her continuing by next season also it's about time they make full use of Araki and Shion.

Minami Nishimura - 6th man of the year. The Andre Iguodala of volleyball . great pickup. I knew she wasn't going to retire even though she seemed to have settled into a job with Coca Cola or something weird-ass
She and Watanabe both did this "I'm retiring" thing, and then ...
Both of them also did not come to the NoSmilers from their farm team at Osaka International Takaii

Sorry, what comparison? Watanabe and Nishimura?
If so, it isn't a comparison. It's that they both ditched Okayama under never to be known gossip-y conditions
[Edit] oh I see the bold now. Andre, 6th man of the year, played wherever was needed , was happy about it and kicked ass. Nishimura is a libero, defense specialist, OH, serve sub, whatever it takes. She's short but good at everything and has a very solid mentality

Ah, ok!
(I watch some NBA, but not a whole lot, so I know he's an important player, but I don't really know him... But, anyway, those types of players are always fun to watch...)
