Stanford was missing players on Friday (flu and concussion protocol)
Oregon saves match points and beats Colorado in 5 sets.
Brooke was doing Brooke things, finished with like 25 kills I think.
She would be so valuable to a German team in January... but I think she is going to use her covid season
UCLA-Washington live now on ESPNU
Karch is commentating.
First time watching UCLA this season. Suprised not to see Jacobs as a starter.

Luper has been a revelation. She's so good. This is her first season

Bergmann - Brazil (the press releases always state she's from germany but forget about Brazil... bet Germany would like that right now lol)
Markova - Russia
Yardimci - Turkey
So Peyman is doing really well despite her height. Obviously she is talented but I thought she might struggle a bit. I hope she continues to perform like that.

I never thought of her as short... but I guess she's "only" 6'0.
The best opposite in the league (Brambilla) is only like 5'10.
Here's some matches (disclaimer: Louisville and Pitt are two of the best teams in the country)

People say 181-182 is even short for setters these days. But not everyone can be 190+ I'm happy she is proving height isn't everything

the best opposite in the whole NCAA is "only" 187 ish.
Everyone getting taller doesn't help. Nebraska's middle is only 181.... and she got bullied by someone 206
Iowa fired Vicki Brown today.... tough gig
Took over the program in 2020 (after the last coach got fired for non-performance reasons)... dealt with a covid year (and not a ton of talent on her teams)
Samedy still doing Samedy things... ugh she's so good
who needs an opposite? (besides Schwerin)

Any other Opposites that graduate and could be a good fit for Schwerin?

UNI Opole, but I don't think she's good enough for them lol

eh. There's a couple others (Pressley, Koerber, maybe converted OH's) but none are as ready as Samedy
Bergmann is so good. Its literally unfair.
Had 21 kills in 4 sets today... hit over .400
