My biggest concern with the new Easy Sports platform is that their streaming site looks incomplete and is most likely still in the testing phase. It's also not georestricted which is almost too good to be true. They may have overlooked that. I don't want to get shut out in case they georestrict their platform later on. There aren't any free Japan vpns anymore.

We should get some feedback tonight from users who have signed up and watch the man version. Hopefully all goes well and the quality is better than vtv was ... although I'm sure they will use the same cameras and lighting that exist already in the various gyms and arenas?
-
Will one of you first responders let us know where the "Livescore" is hosted, please?
It says it's going to be on the V.League 'fan site',** whatever that is. I did see a link to a Livescore on the V.League Official Schedule site, by clicking on the "Match Information" for the SAGA v Toyota match on the 29th ... but the link is not there any more
**"In addition, you will be able to check the detailed live score that was provided as the current V.TV service from the V.League official fan site" link

Watching the JT Thunders opening match now. The video quality seems pretty average, even when set to high quality. It doesn't strike me as any better than on the old platform.

Bummer
I see there are links to livescore from the "match information" for the matches, eg., Nagoya v Jtekt that go to an useless error page which really means you need a vpn to see the livescore

I can see the live score here for the JT match I’m watching here: https://www.vleague.jp/match/detail/27686
Turning on auto update (自動更新) works with just a slight delay. You don’t need to click the red LiveUpdate button, but if you do, yes, it throws an error. I don’t have my VPN running at the moment. You don’t need it for the live broadcast (at least for now) or the main score page. -

The livescore gives stats, and even play by play as to who makes the play/point, etc
I used a browser extension vpn and am able to get to the LiveScore page using chrome, and but then I hit the http://www.vleague.jp pettiness of them disabling right clicks, which is how I translate the page. I got another extension that will automatically translate the page, but what a giant load of crap this is

Any extension to prevent disabling of right clicks? I assume they’re doing it via JavaScript.

Yes there are extensions for that, but I think I recall that if you disable javascript the livescore updating doesn't work
For some unknown reason, I can right click till the cows come home in my Waterfox browser. I may have done something years and years ago, but I don't have any extensions running on it to do that, nor do I have javascript disabled

The Kanto Region Block Round Finals are happening right now. Looks like the Uni Teams are going to advance, but not for sure yet. There's a few interesting nuggets, like Seitoku took a set from Tokai U, Meikai University beat GSS Sunbeams. I'm interested in seeing this up and coming Meikai team. They have to beat Gunma Bank next and if they do, they get Tokai for a chance to advance to the Final Round. It'll be their 3rd match of the day (Tokai's 2nd) -- 3 set matches tho
[update] -- Looks like Gunma Bank has abstained, so Meikai goes straight to Tokai
They are going to whip through this in one day
-
-
These Kanto Region Block Round Finals are the last of the Empress Cup Qualifiers
They get three entries
Finals:
Tokai v Meikai
Tsukuba NSSU
TWCPE v Aoyama
TWCPE is waiting for the winner of Chiba Angel Cross v Aoyama Gakuin. I'm torn to shreds over that match
These matches are all viewable in a day or two at videoflow which is that AI camera experience
[UPDATE] Aoyama wins. I wanted Angel Cross for more Uni v V.League interaction. Oh well. Go Meikai

Saori Kimura suits up for Brilliant Aries.
I couldn't figure out who that is at first because once I saw Saori I couldn't unsee her
... it's Karin Nojima (NEC's Kasumi's sister) from last year

is that many outgoings and not as many incomings normal?

is that many outgoings and not as many incomings normal?
I've only been tracking for a couple few years and it seems fairly consistent ... but differently than it appears right now before the students come in. Last year had 85 INCOMING and 55 OUTGOING all told
The Uni Girls will start entering in December after the All Japan Uni Championship, and the high school kids after the HS Championship in January --- roughly about 30 from each will come in, starting late fall through the spring as the season is going on

What’s the difference between withdraw amd resign?
