Then there are those that work hard, but some would say lack the natural talent/gift. Maybe JWO? idk how she was in her youth and at college, but she's put in the time and work (albeit at low level leagues) to become an amazing libero for USA. Didn't she also take that one year off and didn't play overseas? Wang Weiyi of China could never.

Justine wasnt even a libero until she got to Nebraska. She was a setter all through her youth career but no one recruited her cause she was short. Nebraska took a gamble on her
