Brazil - Women's Superliga 2022/2023

Thank you Kisy for illustrating my point! 29 points with 69% (!) attack eff.

Edit: wrong thread, but basically Kisy > Tainara

Her approach seems slightly optimized, which was what I'd been waiting for a long time... I think even Nalbert talked about it during the game (not that I care about what Nalbert has to say most of the time, but he has a point here lol). This generation with Kisy, Julia B, Julia K, Ana Cristina and Lelê rocks. Now only Kenya needs to step it up.

  • Vittoria Kuehne (16yo) just killed it during the SL B semis and helped take Blumenau to the next Superliga. Sure it's a very low standard to take into consideration, but she played like a mature player. Hopefully she does well next U19 WCH!

  • The regular season is over. Here are the final standings:

  • This championship is Praia's to lose... But we know how Praia is with this kind of pressure, so I wouldn't be surprise if another grabs the title..

  • who do you guys think will win? will Praia bring it home or will there be some surprises?

Honestly, just a couple of months ago, Praia looked miles ahead of everyone else, but they've been kind of shaky recently. And, for some reason, I'm never really wowed by a Praia game even though they have the strongest roster on paper. They're still a very competent team, though, and are probably still the favourites to win the league, but only slightly.

With Minas it's kind of the opposite. For most of the season, it seemed like there was no way they were going to pull it off this time, but now they're back to being title contenders. They grew a lot as the season went by. And because they didn't start the season well, they know how to pull themselves back together during a hard match, which is something I don't get with Praia. It's almost like Praia's dominance for most of the season is hindering them in some way, because they've gotten used to winning everything easily and now they look completely lost whenever they face a tough situation.

So I'd say it's probably going to come down to these two yet again. I'd love to be wrong though, because I think we're all pretty sick of the Praia-Minas showdown at this point.

  • What a match!!!! Pinheiros 3 x 2 Osasco <3

Naiane, pls don't leave us to be Claudinha's backup ;(

I just assume that Naiane was going to Praia to be their starter... There is no way she's benching to Claudinha

  • I just assume that Naiane was going to Praia to be their starter... There is no way she's benching to Claudinha

I don't trust Paulo Coco to be reasonable. Especially if Praia wins the Superliga, there's no way he's benching Claudinha then.

    Series tied 1-1

  • Edinara hás been playing só Far from expectations since game 2 ... I really think that Edinara doesnt deserves a call for NT. There aré already many opps avaiable for NT.

If Edinara had played Just ok Pinheiros could have done way better. Hope for a best third set in game 3

  • Gabi Martins was the best player from Pinheiros in this matches against Osasco.

    Smarzek played good today.

  • Yeah, Edinara was awful today. Idk why Bacilieri didn't start the third set with Carol Grossi. Carol and Paula were the only two players who were playing to win today.

Very disappointing performance. I don't mind them losing to Osasco, I just wish they'd played with more heart.

  • But at least we got this video out of it lol. Mara's an icon.

(For those who don't understand Portuguese, Osasco fans were chanting that Mara is a weak attacker)
