For the Japanese players, Kanna Hanazawa is NEC’s reserve setter. She was the 3rd in setter depth and did not get playing time in the regular league, but played some at VCup. I would pick Pornpun over her if I need a setter definitely.

I believe Megawati and Wipawee will be drafted again for sure.

I actually want Paat to play in the Korean V-league. But most of the time the Opposite position is given to Foreign players. Although Megawati plays OPP in Red Sparks so maybe it is possible lol.

I like Tots too. She's got a slightly better chance if GS Caltex is still in need of an OH. I remember they tried recruiting Medi Youku (170cm) last V-league but because of injured setters, they changed her up in the last minute.

Due to Megawati's performance in Korean league, many Indonesian fans have started following Red Sparks (highest IG follower count now in KOVO). Red Sparks is currently in Indonesia for a friendly match with one of the local clubs.

Philippine Women's Volleyball Team will have another Head Coach after the AVC Challenge Cup. The Challenge Cup will be the last tournament with Coach De Brito. No announcement yet on who will be the new Head Coach.

I believe this is a good development, and pretty much everyone who follows our NT doesn't like his coaching. The social media comments on the articles are in the theme of ... "Finally" or "Can it be sooner. Before Challenge Cup" Hoping the next one will be better

After losing all 12 games they went against each other in the past years, Choco Mucho Flying Titans finally won a game vs their sister team Creamline Cool Smashers. They won in a very exciting 5 set match, with a reverse sweep This is the first game of the round robin Final 4 of PVL.

Both teams are missing their starting Opposite. Creamline's Tots Carlos is in Korea for KOVO Asian Quota Tryouts while Choco Mucho's Kat Tolentino is out for weeks now for an auditory condition.

The Philippine Pro League (PVL) just had 17k crowd for the semifinals yesterday, while our collegiate league (UAAP) had a game at exactly the same time just around 16km/10miles away with 19k audience.

Philippine Volleyball is really doing well! If the venues are bigger, we’ll have way more attendance than this. We just don’t have another venue 😅

Too bad our Federation sucks and we don’t have a National Team roster yet for the upcoming AVC tournament in 2 weeks. 🙃 Both pro and collegiate tournaments will finish a week before the tournament so just a few days of training 🤦‍♀️ That is, if they can get the players to commit considering not much

training and they are coming from a long season also.

Aside from hosting the AVC Challenge Cup, Philippines will be hosting the Volleyball Challenger Cup. So Philippines is already qualified at VCC even if they lose at AVC Challenge Cup At least that guarantees we have 2 asian teams at VCC

The AVC Challenge Cup Schedule is here. The Philippines created a new National Team roster (well, we have a different roster per tournament anyway) but It is a decent roster this time, although they've only started training yesterday and they came from different teams who haven't played with each other

Chen Pei-yan got 17 points in 3 sets as an OH and got 20 points in Set 4 and Set 5 as an OP...
