If I had to pick one Japanese volleyball player to go to a rock concert with, it would be Shimamura

I wonder how Tominaga aka Iwasaki would do with the A Team? She's got a good serve and the Choke threat would likely be reduced

You have to wait, I’m taking her first. She’s fun to be with and she’s tough looking, I’ll feel safe with her

Kazakhstan defeated Afghanistan in straight sets. That's not surprising but the scores are just horrible? I didn't watch the match but 25-4, 25-5, 25-3?

I may sound unkind to smaller countries but I think their volleyball skills are too far behind (for Asian Games). Indonesia and the Philippines should've been here instead of Afghanistan and Nepal.

The Afghan girls are not very tall and not very skilled at volleyball, almost all of their points come from opponents' errors.

Lolsss ..and it looks like their opponents made very few errors !
You know I was afraid Vietnam vs Nepal would be very one sided also... they went 4-25, 16-25 and 13-25. I think the Vietnamese felt bad about being so much stronger, so in sets 2 and 3 they brought in their reserves and 'created' opportunities for Nepal to attack them and score some points, without making it so obvious. In the SEA games they did the same thing with hosts Cambodia.

It's sad that this tournament doesn't give any points to the world rankings. So far no other teams than Japan, China and Thailand are qualifying to the WCH 2025. I know Vietnam will probably qualify since either them or one of China-Thailand is going to host the event but still...

I wish Vietnam could be consistently fabulous on the block

I had a feeling Vietnam would turn an 0–2 deficit into a tie breaker. That's how they roll
-
Nice comeback in the 4th!
-
COOL Kiet !
I don't know how coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet can remain so calm and relaxed, while I'm going..
-
I want Vietnam #11 to finish this with one of those uber sexy combo cuts to the middle
-
Nice comeback in the 4th!
The comeback is complete !
-
And vietnam won the 5th set
-
Oh well. I'll take that #20 smackin back an overpass
Vietnam 0–2 to 3–2 Korea
This is pretty cool. Comebacks are so character building
