CSKA won. Not surprisingly, with two generations of Bulgarian NT and with Portuondo and Meyo

Of course it's an enormous surprise. I think nobody expected it that way. So i'm pretty amazed, too, we sneaked another win and this time over... Zenit?!!! :what:

    :dance4: :drink:

But i'd like to see some non-bulgarian opinions if anybody watched the game.

I can't believe this. I only watched the final set but i think Scavolini played really bad and that's the reason why they lost. Flier was pretty dissapointing. No important blocks were made. While Ferretti did outstanding job as usual and dropped a few balls herself, teamwork really sucked.

Actually i don't consider Rabita as favorite. They're a home team and depend on crowd cheering (i noted the hall speaker or whatever it's called cheered on both sides points :D ). Except for Mammadova, Kim and Nenova Rabita isn't somewhat special.

Is that so, vblover? Yeah, what about our previous encounters when Brazil lost? Did they intended to win back then or was it again some lazy-and-relaxing mood in action? And what happened when Cuba beated you earlier in the tournament? Making some calculations once again? You could make same excuses after every single loss and it's not gonna make you look somewhat innocent. :wavy:

P.S. What does Bulgary mean? Maybe that's how you answer to your own crowd's booings? :D

    Very strong teams indeed.

Italy and Russia may win those 2 tickets although Netherlands, Germany and even Turkey are strong teams as well.

Yeah, what about Bulgaria? Or you think mediocre teams are also allowed to partcipate in WGP qualifications?

I personally consider Russia the only strong team to easily advance wih other 5 really battling it out. :super: We'll see what happens. :win:

About Zhekov being the 3rd best setter in the world, maybe you mean 3rd best in Bulgaria - after Nicky Ivanov and of course, Stanev who is never given a chance to prove his skills.

When you list those players, you forget that's your personal choice. Not so fast, old, whatever - that's how you define them, not everyone else. You can't play for one of the best teams in one of the best league and be average. I won't argue about the abovementioned guys. I'm just listing mine:

    OH: Murilo, Priddy, Horstink
    Opp: Miljkovic, Fei, Omrcen, Oivanen
    MB: Mastrangelo, Volkov, Bontje, Simon
Setters: Grbic (!!), Butko (!), Grankin
    Libero: Salparov, Henno

As easy to guess as pie.

I'd post my top players if this was the right place.

Do you guys really think that referees helped brasilians??????? ?(

I think you shoudn't trust a guy who says Zhekov is the 3rd best setter in the world. :what:

Referees didn't have last word over final score - they just missed some points as usual. But you see mistakes everywhere - in CEV CL, in other club competitions, even in the FIFA World Cup 2010, it's inevitable. As for Bratoev's attack, no one can tell for sure the ball didn't touch his shoulder. They must ban BNT 1 from broadcasting any Bulgaria national team's games.

We didn't deserve a final six spot. When you are beaten 4 consecutive times by whoever team, you have to stay home and get focused on the upcoming fixtures. And by the way, with or w/out reserve players Brazil is always better than Bulgaria and still the best team internationally. :wavy:
