Zagorka and Sobieski Mandarin rock my heart
Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that whenever he gets here, he starts feeling hugry because of all these pictures of meals..., now I see that things are getting even more serious with drinks
bella, Just come to Sofia for the WL and I'll treat you a beer (Zagorka ofc )
Together with the others we will make a little forum meeting. I and Ola already decided to make a poster for Captain Planet .
In Bulgaria tradition is wine, not rakiya
Almost all people who I know that make alcohol at home (and they are a lot as you may suppose ), produce both rakiya and wine (red, also white) and it's been like that since centuries, so both are considered as a traditional drinks here and their consumption is widespread. We emphasized on the rakiya maybe just because it is not that familiar out of the region like wine is. Personally I prefer wine, too and rakiya have tried only three times in my life, cause it is too strong for me.
btw, you know that folklore song about Pawel, right? It says enough to the question
Mavrud is probably the best wine we make, from Southern Bulgaria. It has quality to age properly
Cheers for the wine drinkers here
