Ziraat Bankası not in the competition.Poor.

Only one team from Italy?
-
And you might as well say only one Russian team since Belgorod and Dynamo will meet on the second round.

Only one team from Italy?
that's because we have 3 clubs in CLI think nobody can have more than 5 clubs in european competitions, so if 3 teams are in CL (Trento, Cuneo, Macerata), we can't have more than 1 team in CEV cup (Monza) and 1 in challenge cup (Modena)
For ex Russia this time has only 2 teams in CL, so they have also 2 in CEV, and I imagine 1 in challenge

You got it all right.
By the way I like the fact that you can' have more than 5 teams in European Cups, So you can't have 3 final four with 2 Italian teams vs 2 Russian teams.
I also like the fact that the best country has 3 teams in IECL when the 2nd has only 2. Therefore the best country have to fight somehow for best rank in Europe. -

I agree, but actually I felt sorry for Dinamo Moscow not joining the CL, considering they get the third place last year... (beating Cuneo, damn!! I hated them for this xD)but about the CL qualification rules, I think that who won the CL should have the right to defende the title, no matter of their situation in their own championship (for example, if Zenit would have won the CL but lost the Russian championship final vs Dinamo, I'm not sure they would have the right to play in CL... may be they would need a wild card..)

Hi,
Does anyone know what the composition of Belgorod went to Romania?
-
Halkbank Ankara - AZS Częstochowa 3:0 (25:16, 25:21, 25:21)
Lausanne UC - Resovia Rzeszów 2:3 (22:25, 18:25, 25:21, 25:20, 11:15)
I'm glad, that Resovia won, although it lookes like the game in Switzerland wasn't a piece of cake for Polish team. I hope the 2nd leg will be easier for Resovia.
AZS Częstochowa... Well, as I see they want to be eliminated on the early stage of the competition again. Last year they lost to team from Israel and this time they lost the 1st leg in Turkey in straight sets and very easily. Of course, there is also the revange, but I don't think AZS will make it.

If AZS lose now they will go in Challenge Cup, same thing did Poitiers last year. They beat Vojvodina in CEV Cup first round and after that lose vs Lennik to avoid Challenge Cup.
