2012 Olympic Games

  • Matthias, you deserve a prize, for still keeping up with the last match of the day. This last match. :P
I'm absolutely exausted after this marathon of volleyball, so this is gonna be a bit much for me. But it was for sure tones of fun keeping up with the olympic volleyball throughout the entire day.

I deserve for this prize too :tzz:

Anyway I'm exhausted after 3 days of OG. Now in the evening I have a headache. I follow to many competitions. Especially days with women's volleyball are tiring:white:

So it's an advantage for me that I'm not that interested in men VB :D Anyway I kinda regret that I started to watch this match but now I'll finish it, looks like we go to 5. Watching those setters is killing me, I could not set any worse than them :S

    Sure, prizes for everyone. :P

I stayed up all night today, for this. The first two days, I watched a couple of matches. Today, I had an off day, and the round was interesting, so I decided to go adventurous. Haven't slept, I'm watching volleyball since 5h30 AM, with small pauses. Now it's 8 PM and I'm dying of sleepness. But I won't give up till the very end. We'll finally get a tiebreak, it seems. ;)

I'm interested only in women's volley too 8) But you know I must watch Polish men's team as they have a chance for gold :) My problem is that I'm interested in some others sports except of volleyball. Moreover I follow all Polish athletes. Here in Poland we celebrate each medal because we don't have so many chances to win.... I suppose that in Germany it's no to exciting because you have a lot of good athletes with many chances to get a medal.

  • Algiera is performing better than I expected. They are playing without Tsabet and their first setter. This new setter can't use their best player Oulomou in a proper way. Although they won 2 sets. As we can see volleyball is not a good sport for British people :)

To be honest I don't follow other sports at all, and for me it doesn't matter at all how many medals German athletes get, I'm not a very patriotic person ;) When I watch sports, I just care about the quality of it, not the nationality of the athletes or anything like that...and the only sports beside volleyball that I regularly watch is Tennis (but only big tournaments and only few matches), so in Olympics I really only care about (women) volleyball, I just watch a bit of men volleyball and beach volleyball every once in a while when it's on.

I hope GBR can take this match eventually, I think they are better than Algeria but they are still too nervous and make stupid mistakes. Their libero reminds me a bit of Sykora in her demeanor on court :D

  • i fell asleep just before brazil-usa match.... :hit: ;( :wall: :pinch: :cursing:

anyway, did natalia pereira played? or as usual she was used as a "serving specialist?" what's the use of bringing her in the olympics if the only thing she'll do is serve?

unless ze roberto will be using her as some sort of a "secret" weapon?

she played in the 1st 2 sets but only as a substitute

  • Once more,USA showed their power. After beating Brazil,I'm sure they're super-confident! I don't see 1 team beating them! Gold is near!! :super:

  • Very interesting.. after marathon Matthias was very tired and opened first time I think a little himself World and tell something bout himself. He has seemed to be Castle with big wall but at least..
Tomorrow I will come closer 11.45 pm and have some questions also..

  • Kim is such a tremendously talented player! :super: Undoubtedly the best right now. I think she is the answer to Brazil's problem to winning this OG. If they have a player like her, they can stil be as powerful as they are back in 2008. It's interesting if she can single-handedly pull Korea through the quarterfinals.

no one can do it alone :drink:

  • great Korea and super fantastic Kim...34 points :cheesy: :obey:
on the other hand I'm every day more and more sad for Serbia...a real competitive team if they were in the best shape!

this is olympic qualifier curse :rolll:

  • Im very impressed by the display of USA yesterday, first two sets was almost perfection. Garay went in and raised the level of Brazils attacks significantly, but it wasnt enough. USA will be very tough to beat for sure, but my hope is not gone yet at least

I also noticed Hooker was pretty weak first couple of sets, but then suddenly exploded after that and was unstoppable, one reason was that Bergs sets was perfect, but also that she suddenly started 2 crush the ball. I know USA has like a strategy to keep the ball in play and play careful, but that should not include Hooker! she is a so special player and her weapon when she goes for it, is way too big to exclude. And Hookers game really isnt about touch or placement, she´s all ´bout crushing the ball, so its just waste 2 not letting her do it.

  • There are furious attacks against Motta in turkish forums, twitter and turkish media because of the none use of bench players and because there is too much tolerance for certain players. (guess who ? :bump: )
SUch a tense situation. Even one of the players retwitted a negative message about him

  • It's the same about Barbolini in Italy XD

It's possible, you just have to believe in yourself and really not care what other people say, because I've heard it all.
If you let someone else dictate what you're going to do in life, then you won't get there.

Non so neanche come onestamente: in due mesi ero di nuovo in campo.
