Maja did amazing..she used so well her MB...when Serbia can control they reception they are really powerfull.
-
Terzic's reaction to the referee's decision at 23-22 And Maja's tip immediately after that
Finally a win over Italy, it's been a long time. I think it's been mostly a positive tournament for Serbia, they've improved since WQT. Good to see Mihajlovic integrating well in the team, she could be a real boost. -
what to say?? I'll never watch them again...it brings bad luck as Ididn't saw niether the match against Brazil nor the one against Poland where at least they made a point..
today they were awful! I hope they'll train harder to show a better game next week...
congrtulations to Serbia...amazing MB and Maja!! -

Ruziç retired at 32-32 as far as I remember
She made several breaks and comebacks. She made her first break after the Sydney Olympics at the age of 23 because she got pregnant, but had a miscarriage and started playing again after a few months. Then she got pregnant again and made another break. She played the season 2003/2004 after giving birth and retired from club volleyball at the age of 27.
A year later, she made a brief comeback in NT jersey at ECh '05 in Croatia (the first time she played on NT after 5 years) and after that retired for good. So, she played her last match at the age of 28.
It does seem pretty young, but then again volleyball was her entire life, she went pro really early, didn't even go to high school so she could dedicate to sports, so even though she retired young, she had played a lot of volleyball. -
I didn't watch the game but looking at score Serbia apparently did a good job. Congrats to them.
Now it is Poland's turn. You must save honor of Europe girls against Brazil's B team.

Its important to remember age is just a number and doesnt really mean so much. I mean, the hardest thing isnt to play good in the age of 35, its to play constantly at highest level every year in lets say 20 yrs. time. After lets say 10 yrs. of play in highest level problems with injurys, motivation comes for many players, no matter if they are 25 or 35 at the time. Just compare Barbara to her teammate in Croatia back in the days Natasa Leto (Omskrovic) that was a late bloomer and had her breakthrough at like 23-24 still can play world class volleyball at 36, while Barbara Jelic Ruzic who had her breakthrough much earlier in her teens, retired 7 yrs. ago, even if she is one year younger!

Does anyone know what the Polish fans are telling altogether in chorus as Poland attacking? That is just great!
-
I think they are counting each contact with the ball: Raz, Dwa, Trzy
Or 1, 2, 3 when the other team has the ball, for bump, set, spike
-
unfortunately -
I think they are saying: Jeden, Dwa, Trzy
1,2,3 when the other team bumps, sets, spike.
Yes, that is big possible, but i listened again and it seems to me that they are telling something different. In any way they have been creating great ambiance even though their team couldn't manage to accompany to them.
