    Sesi Bauru have been making moves as per usual in the transfer market. They renewed with Dani Lins, Leia, Mayany, Mayhara, signed Bia and were on the bidding war for Natalia. Today Melhor do Volei (tier 1 for Brazilian news) even reported that Kasiely signed with Sesi Bauru from Praia.

    Months ago, when Sesi tried to make Dani Lins, Mayany and other players from the main team play in Superliga C. The article said Sesi was no longer willing to be just a sponsor for the Bauru club, but would like to come back to Superliga A with its own team (and its own CNPJ). Both the men's and women's team would play in the new arena Sesi build in Bauru (where the men's team actually transferred this season), making the Bauru club possibly disappear.


    Not sure what is going to happen now, because Sesi wasn't allowed to play with Dani Lins and so on and they didn't get promoted from Superliga C to Superliga B, so there is no chance their own team may play Superliga A next season.

    I vaguely remember them playing a mixed A squad/B squad team in Superliga C finals (the Sesi that plays Superliga C is actually a youth team, similar to Minas' "Minas Nautico" team), but I can't recall if it had anything to do with Sesi stopping their partnership with Volei Bauru. I'll try to look into it later.


    Either way, Sesi Bauru should remain in the Superliga, at least for the time being.

    Great series between Praia and Sesi! Three five-setters with lots of drama and unexpected twists.


    Ultimately, Praia advances, but Sesi fought hard and played like a team at last, so kudos to them.


    Oh and Adenizia had 13 blocks today!! If the stats confirm it, she'll match Carol's record for most blocks in one match.

    Honestly, Sesi pins were being kind of dumb with the shot selection lol (there were so many times when they couldn't even get a full approach and they just decided to close their eyes and hit straight into the block for some reason?), but all the credit goes to Adenizia ofc. Insane performance.

    I seriously doubt it. She's not 100% fit (she actually wasn't even supposed to play this match, which is crazy), lost a lot of muscle mass due to a recent dengue fever infection and was not part of the cycle. Honestly, anything other than Carol, Thaisa and one of Diana/Julia K for Paris would be shocking to me.


    I also expect Luzia to take over Lorena's spot as the 5th MB for the first week or two of the VNL, but she won't be seriously considered for Paris. LA MB race is going to be crazy btw, there's so much young talent in that position.

    What's the deal with Brazilian MBs reaching their peak around 40?🤣 I don't want to imagine Carol when she is 38😂

    Brie King has dengue fever and won't play the semi-final today :(


    Kisy was also sick with dengue last week, so I'm not sure she'll play today (and if she does, it's very likely she won't be 100% because recovering from dengue is rough). This is a huge blow for Minas because Kisy has been lowkey carrying them this season


    Also Praia's first and second setters are injured. Luckily for Praia they are the only team in the league that always signs an experienced third setter (other teams just register someone from their youth teams as their third setter). Milla (the third setter) has played well in the quarter-finals.
