No wonder I heard some comment from those who know that Wu Mengjie was in MB position previously thus she is also good in blocking. I just learned about Liu Yu in this tournament, she is faster than Yang HY, nimbler! I like Liu's playing and court awareness. But at 22 with 187, tough for her to enter the NT first team.

This is the Yang-Semifinal, a fight between two 'Yang' forces: CHN & VIE teams are likened to the Yang force in Tao's Yin-Yang philosophy -- the Hard force; while JPN & THA are likened to the Yin force -- the Soft form.
Thus this first semifinal match is a showdown between the Hardened Yang vs. the Rising Yang... the rising team will still need years to polish their skill and maturity... and I think the most important thing for VIE at present is to cement their Top-4 position in Asia! They need to watch out very carefully the comeback of KOR squad at any time!
