China did a gusty comeback. The 4th set was the key of the match. Once China won it, they just swept the court with the dominicans. However, it was a great effort by the caribbeans. Brayelin Martinez will be a great start

Italy swept China Taipei 3x0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-11). The italians errors has dicreasead a lot. Now just 16.

Meanwhile, Dominican Republic beat Slovenia 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-23). However, there was a weird situation. After the europeans won the 1st set, which meant to avoid Turkey in the next round, Slovenia changed almost all its team. Just one starter on the court. Also, suddenly, they start to mistake a lot...
It seems they wanted to avoid Italy in the next round too. So, their next rival is Peru

Japan is amazing. Beating 3-0 Poland! A team which is so tall, while japanese are shorter.

I watched the Turkey vs Peru match and during the first 2 sets, I didnt see a winner. It was an equal game. Turkey has Pelin, while Peru has Leyva, who is superb in attack. Peru struggled a lot in the passing. Why? Because in this WCH, the second OH was MB some weeks before the tournment. Her passing isnt good. Definitely, Peru is the dark horse.

Pool C winner is USA. Slovenia vs Rep. Dominican Republic will decide the last standings. The caribbeans need a 3-0 victory in order to avoid Turkey in next round.

First, congratulations Argentina!!! Like I said, they are a good team, but in a difficult pool. We beat 3-0 Japan, the asian champions!!! However, this score doesnt confirm our pass to the next round. We have to go step by step.

In the other hand, congratulations Peru! What a come back! Peruvians defended like asians. The tallest player in Peru is 184 cms, while Itala has more than 6 over 185 cms. If Italy mistook a lot, it´s cuz their main weapon is the service. Italy destroyed the peruvian passing in the first 2 sets.

Slovenia is the underdog here. Let´s see what they can do against Brazil and Dominican Republic

Turkey improved a lot with the change of libero.
I am very surprised by the BRA vs DOM score: 25-08???!!! DOM already beat Brazil in the U18 Pan American Cup, and many players were in the JWCH in Czech Republic.
