She plays in Yeşilyurt.
Ezgi had 5 reception errors. I'm surprised. I hope she'll be better in the next matches. She was great at attack, though (judging by stats, ofcourse ) -

Belgium is also going to the WC =)
No surprise but it makes me happy to see such small country being so strong =) -
Belgium's last three generations are really good but they don't have any success at senior level yet. Bu we look at results at youth and junior matches, it looks like after one olimpic circle, in Europe; it will be over for teams like holland, russia, bulgaria and rising time will remain for italia, turkey, serbia, belgium and maybe german and poland
of course it is hard to talk about russia and azerbeijan, whenever they will face a problem lacking good players, they would neutralize one ukranian or belarussian

I check previous edition of tournament, see some names which is not known nowadays what happened to them? there was an injury finishing their career or they cannot reach senior international level?
Klineman Alexandra from USA
Costagrande Luisina from ITA
WITTOCK Jolien BEL
SMIRNOVA Irina
WALKENHORST Kira
Vanzurova Tereza CZEBtw i see that Natalia Pereira was second best receiver in 2005 youth WCh and 2007 junior WCh. Is she normally OH originated player?
Ashley Engle was also have good stats while she was spiker, when she convert to setter? You are right, Serdar. Natalia used to play as an outside hitter in the u-17 and in the u-19 World Championships. She and Silvana were the Outside Hitters and Tandara was the opposite. When she started to play professionally, she was also an outside hitter, but her reception was not good. Then the Osasco team hired Sassá to play as outside hitter and she started to play as opposite.
In the 2006/2007 and in the 2007/2008 seasons, Natália and Paula were the outside hitters of the Osasco's team. In the 2008/2009 season, Paula and Sassá were the outside hitters and Natália was the opposite. In the 2009/2010 and in the 2010/2011 seasons Natália played as the opposite and Jaqueline and Sassá were the outside hitters.
Last year, though, Zé Roberto decided to focus on improving Natália's serving skills, specially after Mári's and Paula's injuries. Then she returned to play as an outside hitter in Brazil's NT already in the World Grand Prix final round and in the 2010 WCH.
When the clubs seasons started, Natália played as the opposite of her club, but she's in the NT's roster as an outside hitter and she was hired to play as an outside hitter for the Unilever team.

Thanks for info Celso,
I always tought that Natalia is a good example for an OH converted from opp position originally. But as you said also, she is not a regular opposite she was an OH who has not have great receiving skills. So again there is no any real good example of an Oh converted from opp besides Mari?

It's not a very strong team this generation, and two of the best players (Sina Fuchs and Pia Walkenhorst) are missing because of injury. Also Ana Capote (daughter of Cuban player Josefina) just recovered from a serious knee injury and is not in a good shape yet. I think the next generation will be better again.
