  • The Turksih league is very interesting..The last team(not Plevne) can beat the others..Like the last match with Fenerbahçe-Beşiktaş..Beşiktaş is 9th anf Fenerbahce is 1st but Besiktas won the match..And Bozkurt played semi final in the Turkish cup..Really interesting league :D :super:

  • Fenerbahçe ensured regular season leadership though one more week remains but I dont think standings will be changed in the last week. It seems all games will be very easy for favorite teams except Galatasaray - SGK game that might change standings of 7 and 8th places.

I guess the final standings will be as following

    1. Fenerbahce
    2. IBB
    3. Ziraat
    4. Arkas
    5. Halk Bankasi
    6. Galatasaray
    7. SGK
    8. Maliye
    9. Besiktas
    10. Diltas
    11. Bozkurt
    12. Plevne

Bozkurt and Plevne will be relegated.

So play-off first round games are

    Fenerbahce - Maliye (or SGK)
    IBB - SGK (or Maliye)
    Ziraat - Galatasaray
    Arkas - Halk Bankasi

  • Play off schedule released

After the end of regular season in Aroma Men’s 1st League, play off schedule is released.

  • Hi, Please give me the sites from where you are in this league results and table.I'm looking for and I can not find anything.

None of the sites I can recommend are really user-friendly, but here you go:

official site for turkish volleyball federation
google translate can help you there, though not so efficiently.
Standings can be downloaded as .xls files from the link "1. Lig Puan" just below the calender.
For the results: on the index page (original page) scroll down a bit. On the right hand side you'll see an apple(?) shaped volleyball and and a flashing link, "maç sonucu ve istatistik sitesi".
this is the link for results and statistics page, where you have to chose a league to see the results and stats from the left hand site.
In case you don't use a translator, "2010 1. Lig Bayanlar" and "2010 1.Lig Erkekler" translate to "2010 Women's 1. League" and "2010 Men's 1. League", respectively. Please note that these are results from year 2010, if you want to see the results of the games played in 2009 you have to chose either "2009 1.Lig Bayanlar" or "2009 1.Lig Erkekler". You can reach the stats by clicking the pdf icon next to the game results.

    Other sites;
A volleyball site with news, pics, etc.

On this site you can reach the full standings without the annoyance of downloading a .xls file. Just go the the "Puan Durumu" link and chose "1.Lig Puan Durumu".
Quick translation for how to read the table.
    "O" is games played.
    "G" is games won.
    "M" is games lost.
    "AS" is sets won.
    "VS" is sets lost.
    "P" is Points.
In turkish leagues the final standings are calculated by adding 5% of the points won by youth league teams. So on the right hand side of the standings table you see those points in yellow. ("GL" means youth league)

just another site similar to the previous

The first match of Aroma Men’s 1st League final series was played between Fenerbahce and Ziraat Bankasi in TVF 50.Yil Sports Hall. Fenerbahce wins the match 3-2 by coming behind.

Both teams were uneasy at the begining, however home team was having many errors against Gundars Celitans’ perfect attacks. Ziraat led the first gap 5-8 and never let the opponent bounce back until 5-12, middle player Resul Tekeli used incredible services. As guest team had had simple mistakes, Fenerbahce decreased the gap a little bit 12-16. Game was continued with the mistakes of both sides, nevertheless, Ziraat Bankasi was playing much better and seized the set 19-25.

A storm from Ankara was happening on the court, Ziraat Bankasi did not have Fenerbahce seen the ball, coach Demeter stopped the game at 0-5. After the first break was passed over 4-8, Ankara staff saved its tempo and was still ahead 12-16 in the second break. As a result of efficient services, host managed to approach the rival 18-19, Argentinian trainer called a time out then. This time out was useful for Ziraat, defended yellow dark blue attacks excellent and increased the difference once again 18-23. Home team spent all its energy at the end of set, but Tomislav Coscovic sent the ball outside behind service line, Ziraat got the set 23-25.

View was changed in the begining of third set, Fenerbahce stopped the high attacks of opponent on the net and provided an enormous gap until first tech time out 8-1. Seemed like difference would not be decreased, but Ziraat Bankasi was really ambitious, forced the opponent make mistakes over Tomislav Coscovic, almost closed the gap 13-11, second break was passed 16-13. After Frantz Granvorka made an ace at 19-17, but Ziraat Bankasi lost spiker Peter Platenik since the referee had shown a yellow card, followed by a red card. Score advantage was with home team, they would not say “no” and closed the stage 25-20.

Ziraat Bankasi woke up from a nightmare when they led the first part 6-8, but Fenerbahce had already been awake, caught up the rival quickly and moved ahead to 14-10 where Ziraat exhausted its time outs. Fenerbahce was playing more stable now, raised up to 18-12, confidence of Istanbul players were brought back. Expected end was seen at the end, host Fenerbahce managed to win this set 25-17.

Stress was supreme, players were nervous, tribunes were excited when guest team was leading the courtside change 6-8, Fenerbahce coach Gyorgy Demeter wanted the first time out as Granvorka blocked Coscovic 8-10. When Lukas Divis blocked Celitans, scoreboard said 12-13, then Slovak player attacked for equality 13-13. Resul Tekeli’s spike out was followed by Gabriel Gardner’s service error 14-14. Divis attacked once again but Platenik responded him 15-15. Fenerbahce’s young middle player Emre Batur was injured, replaced by Cem Kurtar, new player contributed one point. It was 17-16 and Ziraat could not use attack chance, Tomislav Coscovic put the fullstop on number 4, set ended 18-16. Match over 3-2.

Wow I can't believe you put Horstink in that line-up of players :) it looks like he really is gaining international recognition as one of the world's best players. I've seen him develop ever since he was very young, cool to see his dream come true... people always placed so much expectations on him, it sure hasn't been easy.

Having said that, how the hell does Domotor Meszaros play in the Turkish league all of a sudden? I thought he played for Modena?

    Ziraat Bankasi 1 Fenerbahce 3 (series 0-3)

Fenerbahce won the title. Congrats to the team. In the beginning of the season most people didnt count Fenerbahce as one of the favorites but players have made a great job winning the championship and also regular season leadership against the teams who have higher budgets and more expensive rosters than Fenerbahce.
