Probably Alekno doesn't see him in NT. Mikhaylov is just unstoppable and it's time for youngsters: Ilinykh and Zhigalov got the chance. Poltavskiy is really experienced player, but not good as few years ago. it's just change of generations. I saw stats in Nazarbayev Cup and Poltavskiy was only substitute. Maybe his career will end soon.

Alekno and Poltavsky arent in good relations since 5th match Zenit - Yaroslavich. Yaroslavich led 14-11 in 5th set I think and refs done horrible mistakes against Yaroslavich. Poltavsky freaked out and said Zenit payed refs to favor them, Russian federation didnt want small club like Yaro in semis etc after that Zenit won championship.
Poltavsky lost his spot in Dinamo first 2 years ago he was mostly substitute for Yakovlev while Mikhaylov made huge progress. Semen had serious knee injury (I think) and missed basic preparations so Yakovlev was starter. I've read he had some minor injury so that should be reason why he was sub in Kazahstan. 
Poor Semen... He was always a controversial figure in volleyworld
