Congratulations usa! Really impressive win!
-
USA team! I love you all!
-
Congrat for the USA and YAY Thailand get the 4th in the first time of all
-
The USA women for the 3rd straight year. And this one was with the back-ups, who did not even lose one match throughout the tournament.
-
1,2,3 USA!

Chu Jinling shows once again that she is better in all elements than Fan Linlin, so only the coach knows why Fan usually starts...
The more I watch Glass and especially Thompson, the less I understand why Lloyd wasn't given any chance at all to play during WGP. She's definitely better than Thompson and at least equal to Glass. I guess it must have something to do with team dynamics...
Without Fan Linlin, China performed far better! Today's match against strong USA was absolutely a surprise to Chinese fans. We love Chu Jinling!!!

Megan Hodge should be MVP.
-
As I predicted a week or so ago, USA B won WGP Congrats!!! It must be quite frustrating for everyone else that 4 weeks before the Olympics nobody can even beat USA's substitutes
Honestly I would not be comfortable with Hodge MVP...yes she makes up for her weak reception with her great attacks, but somehow I'd expect more from a real MVP. Actually USA's strength is that they don't need an MVP because everyone in the team is equally valuable
So USA's Olympic roster should look like:
S: Berg, Glass
Opp: Hooker, Metcalf/Haneef
OH: Tom, Larson, Hodge, Richards
MB: Harmotto, Akinradewo, Bown/Scott
L: Davis, MiyashiroIf two liberos are taken, one OH has to stay at home and it would most likely be Richards. This decision and the ones between Metcalf/Haneef and Bown/Scott are terribly difficult and I really would not want to be in Hugh's place for this!
By the way, how many serves did China miss on set points this week???
-
Wow congrats usa its totally deserved and i guess we'll see the same scenario on olympics
-
CONGRATULATIONS USA! Definetly very deserved title! Incredible work by McCutcheon!
I must say I became fan of Richards, I already liked her game, but after all she been through this year to be playing like this...just amazing.
Hodge also did amazing in attack, I think she just need to keep her focous all the game, she seems to fall production a bit in third sets.
Anyway, congratulations!!
-
Ouch. FIVB sure doesn't like Hodge's reception -- She was at 3.85% yesterday vs Cuba and 3.03% today vs China.
And yes, those decimal marks are in the right place.
I wonder if in the future she can be a non-receiving OH...
-
Despite their failure , China played relatively well .
The reception are not too bad in fact.
Hope they can go back to the peak in OG -
