Dom is making silly mistakes in defense, now.

Goncharova looked even lovelier with her hair tied like that
-
russia is starting to become more stable now. perepelkina has two excellent blocks!
-
Eventually russia is playing more reliable
-
It's the same as yesterday for Russia: rather slow 1st set, but significant improvement in 2nd, though they still are not absolutely convincing. DOM are starting to make incredibly stupid errors now.
-
as you know Russian's team is slow starter ..
i hope as the tournament progress they also increase their level -
Sokolova ins't in the start six because she is being punished to refuse to participate of the pre olimpic?

i dont think so...

I don't think it's like that. and it's certainly not the best time to punish Sokolova specially when the coach needs her.

Any working link?

russia won the 2nd set 25-15

i notice that a lot of commentators often call sokolova, "chachkova." seems like they can't forget the chachkova from 2000's
-
I expect Sokolova to take the place of Estes later in the tournament. She missed one month of training, so it's normal that she's not on the same level as the others yet, but she will get there during the tournament. Ovchinnikov enters her in every set so she can improve her rhythm, but against teams like GBR and DOM it's not necessary to let her play full time yet.

right. Even Estes is called Artamanova by the coach of DOM

No no, she just isnt in great shape now and needs 2 get better so she comes in when the sets is "done" just to get match practise.

No, Shashkova simply is her official name because she never changed it in her Russian passport after she got divorced It's the name written in the team roster even though it's Sokolova on her jersey. -
