Display MoreI couldn't watch that match but it seems like there's a great atmosphere between all the players in Busto and they seem to be very motivated to win the title this year They have better hitters (Havelkova, Diouf, Rania and Perry) than Piacenza and Marcon is as you already know the best receiver in Italy. Last year their reception was a bit shaky since Marcon and Leonardi had to cover Buijs but now they no longer have that duty. Wolosz became stronger after one season in Italy, Diouf is far better than Ortolani in every aspect, so why not?
Their MBs aren't really strong enough on the other hand, Lyubushkina(harder name to spell than Shlyakhovaya ) just got there, Pisani is a good blocker but a poor attacker yet, Michel maybe the best option among these three. I wish Alebrecht was healthy, then their last puzzle should have been filled.
Apparently Zago and Diouf are the only good italian starter OPPs in the italian league this year.
Piacenza - Van Hecke
Busto Arsizio - Diouf
Conegliano - Nikolova
Novara - Barun
Modena - Fabris
Bergamo - Plak (Will she play as non-receiving OH?)
Cassalmaggiore - Zago
I think Busto still needs consistence, but they can make it yes I guess...but yesterday Foppa was winning first and third set, had 24-22 to close first set, but didnt managed to close it...so it was very equal game....and in theory Foppa dont have the best squad this season...shouldnt fight for the title....I dont know how Busto will react against better teams......but we will see...of course it was just the first match of the season.
Plak started on bench yesterday.....but when entered she was playing as opp.....and same was last friendly match....she is the most offensive player from all Foppa OH....so I imagine she will either play as opp..or as a non receiving oh..with Loda or Sylla playing as opp.....but I still hope the team works her reception.
