2019/2020 Transfers News & Discussion

  • I was at the draft and people were shocked. Nobody though Norman would be drafted. Especially Langlois and Canadian Steve Hunt were pissed and thought they should have been drafted ahead of him.

  • While Norman getting drafted was incredibly surprising, I would not think that Langlois is at the level get drafted yet.

    I don't think so either but he was one of the higher ranking players throughout the entire tryout process

    Lol:aww:, Langlois did nothing last season in Monza and in this one, he was suppossed to be the star of Bedzin but his performance had been :down:.

    Steve Hunt had played in the second league of France, so...

    I could understand that behaviour from other players with more experience like Van der Dries, Finger or Whendt, but from those two not.

  • Olympiakos has signed-up Menelaos Kokkinakis as a libero for the next three seasons. And according to "fosonline", Mitar Djuric has the door opens to play as a middle-blocker in the same team.

    In France, Narbonne has signed up James Shaw and the Cuban wing spiker Yordan Bisset. The Mexican setter Rangel is going to play next season in Tourcoing Lille.

  • Because he is injured all the time. When he plays, he is underperforming because of that as well. Just because he was the main reason Poland won WCH, he gets lots of offer but he will be on recovery most of the season. It is not so hard to predict.

    True, he had a lot of problems last few years. But clubs are not able to resign so easy from MVP of WCH and player in a good shape almost year after that. Now he is after surgery and we’ll see how he will manage to comeback after this. He said he will be ready for Olympic quailes. But under Heynen wings he should be ready for club season as well. This might be good factor for him as well.

  • A Berlin newspaper writes that GER OPP Linus Weber (19 years) from BR Volleys is rumored to play for Revivre Milano next season, however this might not happen if Giani leaves because probably it was him who wanted Weber there...

  • Sokolov got offer from Kazan for 900k€ while Lube could give him 600k€;

    Zaytsev wanted to move to Lube but situation changed after Velasco retired and Giani replaced him; Lube would have to pay to Modena 300k€ for Zaytsev;

    Anderson comes to Modena and he wants to play as opposite;

    Lube is looking for Opp because of that and it will be easier to buy Kurek instead of buying Zaytsev.

  • Because he is good? :D

    I don't see this ending well for both Kurek and Lube.

  • I agree with you on this.

    Even though I don't really think Zaytsev is the best replacement for Sokolov, He is still a much better option than Kurek.

    I don't know what's going to happen with Zaytsev and Modena but as an italian, he's a very important piece for any team which can open up quite a lot options to get foreign players. If he's still planning to move to Lube, I could see Juantorena resting more with him in the team as they can probably get another OH of better quality than Massari.
