Kixx has very hard time in dealing with the absence if Lee soyoung. Team's defence absolutely dropped a lot not to mention attacks.
They would still suffer until Lee SY is back, and I think their standings could drop a lot until she returns.
After Lee SY injured, Kixx won convincingly 2 times and 1 lost in tie-break.... Is another key player also injured that make a hole so big that Pink Spider punch through it with ease? Or maybe they're not good physically (fatigue or tired).....
Pink spiders are able to endure the hard times because Lee JY is so good player. Also hipass is going through in a good rhythm with Park JA playing in a beast mode.
However Gs caltex doesn't have a player like Lee JY or Park JA. Though they have kang SH, but she doesn't seem to be in a same level with the formers.
Last year they finished 8-2 from the end of the 2nd round either, finishing the wholeague 16-14 and made into playoffs with hardships. I think this year might be similar with the injury of Lee SY, also other teams from the bottom are starting to wake up.

Upcoming Schedule:
News Update:
Kim Hee Jin seems injured her calf.. subbed in early set 2 and didn't play anymore... I hope it's not bad.
Though it made Altos can't do much in attack, when Pyo SJ and Anae couldn't get through Hillstate blockers
Lee DY play "safe" by setting to MB most of the time, then to OH... Hayley still didn't get many sets...
2 NT MBs were on fire ... Both Yang HJ and Kim Su Ji were having a good day on blocking and scoring.. I hope they can maintain that kind of performance in NT match...
Kim hee jin's injury😥😥
It's alreqdy very sad that she has to play MB, not Opp in the team. But it's much more sad that she got injured. Hope she got well before the OQ.
Lee DY has to use MBs a lot today because their wing was bad today. I think Hyundai might got in trouble because of weak wings. Hayley doesn't seem to be dominating, also Go yerim's attack is very bad compared to the expectations. Hwang mingyeong is playing good but she is not that tall and she might got in trouble with her stamina as season goes.
I think hipass could go to playoff if they find substitute foreign player in the near future, with Bae yuna's comeback.

Looking at the match stats, Lee Dayeong seems to distribute the ball quite fairly between all the attackers.
As a setter, it's her job to choose player who can get the job done on the day. Each player might have good day/bad day
Doesn't matter by play 'safe' or not. It's all about winning the game anyway.
I agree Hyundai's wings are weak. Tbh I'm quite surprised Hwang Minkyung is doing so much better than Go Yerim this season.
Hopefully Kim Heejin's injury isn't serious. Suddenly I'm so glad NT players get release earlier than scheduled. At least they have time to recover from injury or fatigue before Lavarini back to Korea.
Yea, reading the match stats, Hillstate;s OHs are really bad.... Go YR and Hwang MK only 1 n 2 pts higher than Lee DY !!
Looking at the match stats, Lee Dayeong seems to distribute the ball quite fairly between all the attackers.
Yang HJ n Jung JH , they are total 56 swings (57 with 1 to Lee DH) for MB, 32 total to local wing spikers and 26 to Hayley....
As comparison: Altos' MBs got total 23 swings, local wing spikers got total 55 (+3 to Kim HJ) , and Anae got 47 .... This kind of distribution I think it's the same to other clubs in this league, beside Hillstate ....
Anyway, as you mention it's fine as long as they win....:)
Regarding Kim Hee-Jin (KHJ), well before the match against Hyundai, IBK head coach Kim Woo-Jae said that they were worried about KHJ condition. From what I gathered from various articles, KHJ's right calf was slightly swollen during training. KHJ herself wanted to play but her coach told her if she felt any pain during the match then she would be taken off. Source: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
I don't think Hyundai OHs played badly at all. Go Ye-Rim was like 50% for spike success rate, seven spike kills from 14 swings (1 shot blocked and 2 hitting errors). In my book, that is pretty decent. The only thing I could fault her for in the game against IBK was her reception. What I can say is Ye-Rim has been inconsistent. At times she has been great and at other times she has been rather poor. Hwang Min-Kyoung wasn't that bad either. Spiking success rate of just below 39% and receiving efficiency of 39.3%. Her spiking efficiency of 16.7% (2 shots blocked and 2 hitting errors) could be better. Besides, Lee Da-Yeong is an anomaly when you compare her with the usual Korean setters.

Looking at the statistics, you guys are right. ,In fact that was the thing I'd like to say before but the timing wasn't good. It was my mistake.
What I'd like to mention is that hyundai's wing is quite weak compared to other teams competing with them.
Heunguk: Lee jaeyoung, Lucia fresco, kim miyeon
Gs: Lee soyoung, Kangsowhi, merete lutz
Hyundai: go yerim, hwang mingyeong, hayley spelman
Hyundai set their shortcomings off with their good MBs and setter. However go yerim's performance declined as the round passes, and this is the phenomenon that takes place every season. And MBs has clear limitations because they only can play 3 rotations in a match. That was why hyundai has no championship title for a long time except for 2014-2015 when all the foreigners in playoff didn't play except for hyundai.
I think Lee dayeong should make some magic with her ball for hyundai to grab the championship title.
Looks like Kixx can "washed up" their straight set lost with straight win ...
I thought KGC can at least put up a fight , won a set or two, since they won their last match v Kixx.... I guess their new coach didn't read their previous coach's " notes"...:D
so who will replace taykor cook?
Lol how many times did they replaces this foreign player? why they keep getting her service if in the 1st place she has history like this?
I mean they are doing this tryout for foreign players with 30 good players and still they end up with the same player.
Not sure if coaches are choosing foreign players but i beleive agents or sport agent has a bit part of marketing their players to the club team.

There's absolutely no news whether hi pass will hire new foreigner or not. It is not a matter of who will be next foreigner, but it seems that they are even considering to go a whole season without hiring a new foreigner.
There are couple of reasons for this. One reason is that hi-pass is going through a hard time with their worker's strike. The other reason is there's no more players left who can play good. It is considered players who are left is not so much better than the korean players.
In try-out, almost all people in there thought taylor cook was the best player. And some coaches even considered to pick her in the draft, but heungguk warned that she might run again, so it didn't really happen. And that was the reason why kim jongmin choose taylor over hayley.
I think korean coaches are very bad at choosing a good foreign player, and the only one who was exceptionally good at this, lee jungchul, built IBK generation with it. I think try-out should be remained for korean players to grow up, but showcase should be stopped.
It is said that foreign players hesitates to participate in try out because of the showcase which is totally off season, and the pressure of showing all their abilities only 3 days is the other one.
Considering that taylor was the best and diouf was not that good on the tryout, I think there's absolutely no need to remain this system. Getting a application form might be enough for this.
