I've been meaning to ask, where's that other young libero from Minas? Luana? I don't see her with the team this season.
She went to college in the USA. Texas Rio Grande Valley. And apparently she plays as setter now.
Finally, what we want to see from herLet's go Neri
Some cool news from Curitiba. Even before the League had started, they had lost their head coach, Kely Kolasco (Olympian medallist in 2000), who had to leave for personal reasons. They hired a new coach, and also a female one, Helga Sasso, who played in the NT in the early 80's. She played alongside Brazilian legends, like Jackeline Silva and Isabel Salgado, and was a champion in the 1981 South American Championship, besides playing in the 1982 WCH. It's nice they're betting on a female coach, Helga will be the first to coach in the Superliga since season 14/15, when we had Sandra Mara Leão for Uniara.
Hope she can deliver good performance. All the best!

Who is the front runner this season?
Praia is definitely the most stable team, but Minas is improving.. The others are waaay behind
I've just update the last post with some highlights.. they aren't all that great, but it's something

Yeah, currently Praia is above all others, but we'll see what happens... Judging by past seasons, Praia is a hard team to trust. Minas started the season well behind, but they're already improving, and I expect them to improve much more. Probably the WCCH will help.
I'm also curious about Osasco. I didn't watch the matches from this previous round, but Osasco achieved a great result against SESC. I think they're also better than expected for this beginning of the season, specially by being Tandaraless. Next round we'll see Praia vs Osasco, which will be a good sign to find out how is their level against the strongest teams in the League.
americans
could you please explain what this means?
Umu11 , sorry I thought everybody knew about that already, my bad... "Chicleteira" can be translated as "gum-shewing" and it's how we call the American players when we want to do some banter with them, I mean, all the time
Come to Brazil, Larson!

Adams is having the time of her life in Brazil. She posts about everything, fruits, Portuguese language, driving a manual car, and everything else. I love it.
