Men's CEV Champions League 2023

  • Everything goes well for Zaksa, from serve, pass, spike to blocking. Everything goes wrong for Perugia.

Sirci may fire Anastasi after this match.

  • Leon hás been playing really bad.. too late imo

  • Again, Perugia proved themselves a king in domestic league, and a chicken in CL.

Everyone played like a rookie in this semi.

  • Poor choices by Semeniuk

  • Congratulations for JSW and ZAKSA!!!:cup: we have Polish final Chsmpions League!:white: thats so amazing:cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

10:6 -> 10-13 was a turning point in set #2. Perugia lost all the momentum and confidence since then.

  • Congrats Zaksa and Polish volleyball! An all Polish CL Final!

And maybe no italian's teams in finals lol

  • Congrats to Zaksa, they have been outstanding. Nice game, precise and effective in every element.

Perugia choking in the most important part of the season, as usual. Today they looked lost after the first difficulty.

Perugia had reached CL final in 2016-17.

In a "home" final, they had an ugly loss to Kazan at 0:3 (15-25,23-25,14-25).

Since then, they always had a mental issue in CL. LOL

  • Keep this useless coach for one more match to lose their 5th match against Milano please:D

In last 10 years, Anastasi had coached Gdansk and Warsaw.

Based on Perugia's budget, they could find a better coach than him.

  • I just feel for Semeniuk for his season in Perugia. You can see he has lost his confidence now and is a totally different player from last year. Hope he can find his confidence back in a new environment. Playing with Leon and average libero then very often facing well form blocks and resulting in your setter not trusting his attacks is difficult.

Any OH plays with Leon will have a tough job. Same thing to Lanza. When he's with Perugia years ago, he had two bad seasons. After Lanza's transferred to Monza, he restored his spike and confidence. Now, Semeniuk repeated the same path as Lanza.

Leon got 4 time CL champion in Kazan, not just due to his power spike and serve. Leon's teammates also contributed a lot. Anderon and Mikhaylov who are both core players in the NT, and they can also play OH/OPP when needed, which gives Kazan more flexibility and toughness. It's hard to repeat such a luxury roster for any team's budget nowadays.
