She's playing very well, I think she has good chances to be USA's next libero after JWO.
I believe in this girl so much. So proud to read this from you.

Stuttgart should look for a new libero. Koskelos reception is awful.
Guest coach Stefan Falter was plagued by problems with his intervertebral disc and could not be expected to play on or in front of the bench.

So the official version is that after "intensive talks" the club wanted to keep going with him but he quit. After missing playoffs last season and not winning a single set in 4 matches this season he probably had no other choice and at least this way he didn't get fired eventually...

Honestly, while usually the first league clubs are absolutely clear cut favorites against the second league teams, this weekend the now well performing 2. Pro team TV Dingolfing ("the Dingos") may pose a real threat for this currently feeble team from Aachen in the national DVV cup, especially if they lose a set they might lose their confidence at all. And the pressure for Aachen to win will be high anyway.
The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. You can watch it for free on the YouTube channel “Dyn Volleyball”.

It's a shame, but also an understandable step. I am now interested in how long Mareike can be interim head coach. The current season is actually the best season for her to test whether the head coach job is something for her or whether she sees herself in the second row. No matter what either of them does, her continued commitment after her volleyball career is very good for women's volleyball.
Of the ten teams just three (Stuttgart, and likely Schwerin and Vilsbiburg too) received the license without any conditions.
According to Sebastian Albert's statements, Vilsbiburg was probably not the third team, but Aachen. I would have been surprised, if it was Vilsbiburg, as I somehow had in the back of my mind at the time that they too had some problems.
It's official: Linda Bock tore her ACL Schwerin has really bad luck this season! Now they only have Marrring, Emonts, and Grozer. They desperately need at least one new OH
Such sad news. Wishing her all the luck in her recovery! I'm kinda excited to see Grozer play some points, but she's still very young so having only Marring and Emonts as possible starters (especially in bigger matches) would not be enough. Hopefully they can still find a stable (and experienced) OH that can support their team! Is there anyone who's going "to waste" atm at another team? (I'm not too familiar with all players in German league)
After Laszlo Hollosy has already served two games of his suspension, the license league adjudication chamber announced today that it rejected Suhl's appeal and the ban against Laszlo Hollosy is valid. Suhl can now go to the DVV Association Court against this decision and lodge an appeal there. There is currently no information as to whether Suhl will do it.

The broadcast has now been officially announced on Dyn's volleyball YouTube account, which I will link to below. According to the VBL, the women's matches will be drawn first and then the men's matches. For men, there is a special feature in that a game has not yet taken place at the time of the draw, which means that a game is included in a lottery ball instead of a team.

Cup matches are now running - the amateurs of 3. league (Northern division, effectively the fourth league) of 1. VC Stralsund II lost as expected in three sets against Dresden, but could avoid a one digit defeat in all three sets at least (in the third very close with 10-25).
At beginning Erfurt is testing Wiesbaden and Oythe Schwerin.
While resistence of second league North (effectively third league) amateurs of VfL Oythe collapsed as expected in the course of the first set, Erfurt is seriously trying to win first set against Wiesbaden... (now 21-18).
And Erfurt (second league pro) wins first set against first league Wiesbaden team with 25-19. Erfurt is currently clear-cut leader in the second league pro, so far it was very seldom, that a first league club lost even a set to a team lower as first league, by the way.

And they won it too. Which isn't all that surprising, I would say. Erfurt is clearly a team that is playing for the championship in the 2nd League Pro and is therefore quite close in terms of level to Neuwied or perhaps even Aachen this season and it is quite possible that the first division teams will lose a set. A bigger surprise would be if Schwarz Weiß Erfurt becomes the first second division club to beat a first division team. This probably hasn't happened yet.
Erfurt is leading 8-5 now in second set too.
Wow - Wiesbaden leveled to 14-14, but Erfurt took a two point lead again with 16-14, they pose as serious threat!
Okay, now 17-20 for Wiesbaden, but this match is being far from easy for them.
Second set won by Wiesbaden, also 19-25.
