  • Starts in a couple hours. the first round is nuts, 32 matches, and the way they've drawn it all the ones I really want to see are on at the same time :white:

  • Lucky you. At least Tsukuba and Fukuoka is staggered by an hour. If you’re curious, look in on Fukuoka. My favorite fun team and Miyu Kawazoe:rose:

  • I must have got something wrong. Fukuoka is on now and Tsukuba is not :what:

  • Tsukuba is done. 25-8, 25-7, 25-9. Easy :dance6:

yeah, I missed it :wall: I must have everything off by an hour or something

  • Fukuoka https://univas.jp/enjoy/univas-live/?game=11251

Miyu Kawazoe is OH #2. Their #8 OP Juri Matsumoto is a killer, but 170cm, so ... there's too many of those shorties. Miyu is also 170 :white:

Their MBs #3 and #4 are some of the best in Uni at blocking. Short, too

Kurobe should pick their setter #1 ... Looks like #23 is in for set 2. She's from Shin'ai Girls and did very well there

  • Ohhh I remember Fukuoka now. They were so good last year.

Yes, I'm dreaming that they have a chance to win it this year :rolll: because they are still intact from last year. Tsukuba and Tokai probably have something to say about that

  • I can't quite figure out Fukuoka rotation. OH #22 swaps with the libero, #4 MB plays back row, and then OP #8 swaps out for one play with the libero, and then #3 MB swaps with the libero

bottom line: #4 Yume Miyamoto is a really good all around player ... drum roll .... and is the mythical 173cm

  • Tsukuba is not even that strong but damn these digits are tragic

first round has some really lopsided matchups. The team they beat are a debut team

  • Tokai OP Urara Yamamoto, after winning the Best Spiker award as a freshman last year, has been overtaken by #27 Nozomi Mitsuhiro who I think is better, even though she's 165cm and doesn't wear knee pads

  • There was a great set1 between Nihon (who should be clobbering) and Kinjo (who?) ... 33–31 I think it ended. Nobody does it better than Uni Girls in overtime :rose:
