I don't like Belgian players mood. You can see, even winning a set isn't enough for them to believe.
Now they are arguing with each other. I can't see any fighting spirit, right now they are acting like true losers.
Finally after changing some players, they act like a real team.
It is 2-2 and we will watch the fifth set.
Sander against Depestele block is a crime, Belgium coach must change rotations. -

Plenty of games would still last longer than 2 hours (and some less than 1 hour). Brazilian league was boring as f**k with the 21 points rule.

I have never watched Jose Luiz Gonzalez before and I am quite surprised Julio Velasco took the decision to enlist two left-handed opposites for the entire tournament. OK, Conte can do the trick as well when needed, but it seems strange to have two similar players on the same position, it brings less surprise to the opponents. Pereyra perhaps was not an option at all, thus both Gonzalez and Darraidou in the squad. Venezuela was threatening only in the opening set, Argentina clearly not performing at 100% from then on. The potential of Velasco's team will be visible against a more serious opponent, but I am somehow not convinced.
Who else do you want us to call? Castellani is out of shape, Pereyra is a no-go, and then we kinda have nothing else...
About the match... even though 3-0 it was another weak performance, there are mistakes in every department, block, serve, defense, attack, everything except setting. We'll be hopeless against POL & SRB, and I'm starting to think we will lose to Australia...

One thing isnt clear to me. How the hell Muagututia and Ciarelli r in front of Lotman? More options saved USA. This result isnt good for Italy at all

Glad that the US won. Belgium has been improving, and this actually was a good test for the US. Did they make too many mistakes? Yes.
It could hurt the US in seeding by dropping a point, which may be needed in this very tough group. I still feel that this will not hurt the US in the 2nd round with the points from the 1st round advancing teams included in the results.
Right now, Italy is chasing two teams in front of them and need to win against France to even have a chance of winning the group.

Just been watching the WEEB TV link- refreshing to see a channel dedicated to everything world championships - player interviews, shots of players training in the gym, etc Even though I dont understand a word of Polish, getting to see scenes you never see normally from other volleyball coverage - players are being treated like stars in Poland - even police escort to the hotels!!! I'm very impressed!!!
Again, a shame that there is no attempt to provide some English commentary of any sort - even though the players are speaking English when being interviewed!
Well done to Belgium for a good start by taking a point off USA - they had a chance to win - but should consider this a successful day anyhow. Makes this group a little bit interesting, although favorites are sure to go through anyway
