    Sesi lost once again to a really, really smaller team with a really low budget (Maranhão).
    Sesi has only 4 victories in 12 matches...this is a really bad situation for the team...

    Sesi is such a letdown... They've forked out a small fortune every season for no results. The main board took a bad decision switching over players without changing staff.


    Unilever v Vôlei Amil didn't meet my expectations and it depicts exactly Unilever so far. To sign a strong hitter and server without keeping or signing a good receiver is one step forward, two back IMO. Let's see how we can finish off this!


    The upside is Brasília Vôlei right now. Even tough they lost their grip in the 3rd game against Osasco, 1st and 2nd were a toss-up. Paula is coming out with better performances. She's not in her prime anymore but still good. Last time I saw her playing in a reliable level was in Vôlei Futuro times. Dani Scott also is showing up a decent level.

    I really dont think Unilever problem is Mihajlovic..at all. If the most she is actually saving the team from worse.


    The team has been sooo inconsistent so far in the league...most of it due its own mistakes. They always start really well the first sets...but at the end of it they start making mistakes...and continium in second sets...has been like that in the past few matches. Believe it or not...its not Mihajlovic giving us problem in reception..but Gabi. plus she is having a lot of trouble in attack as well. She is just not in her 50% shape right now. But like last year...when Bernardo kept insisting with Natália...Bernardo is doing the same with Gabi this season. (I hope it pays off the same way like lat year..hehehe)


    add to that..the fact that also Fofão is not playing her best. She is strangly making so bad calls in setting. So that leaves only Mihajlovic and Sarah to kill most of our attacks.


    The team has improved already...for sure. But I know they can do it so much better. Mihajlovic is having an over all stable reception...if Gabi improves and we can use better our MB attacks...things will be easier for Sarah and Brankica.


    Carol for me has been our most consistent player. And the block (mainly with her) our best weapon.


    We have much younger starting six this year than the last (with Brankica, Gabi and Carol)...so I fell they need time to improve individually and as a team.

    If you had paid heed to what I really said, you'd find out I didn't write she's our problem. I've only said to sign a strong hitter without keeping a good receiver was our problem. Passing was the bottom line I wanted to flag up.


    In 2012, Osasco handily defeated Unilever in the final (25:14, 25:18, 25:23). Our backrow line was Mari, Régis and Fabi. If my memory serves me well, Venturini was 42. We just didn't play because of poor receiving and also Venturini couldn't play because with her age she wasn't able to go after the ball everytime.


    Season 2012/2013 we fixed it signing Tom and with Natália back. Even tough Tom wasn't playing her best, we had players to switch over at will. Almost all big matches, we were in trouble with our passing, but always had a bench able to come on and keep a good level. For instance, Bernardo took Tom off and called Gabi on against Osasco and that's worked pretty well. He also did the opposite other matches and succeed. The same went for Natália and Régis.
    Natália is average passing on, but she never screwed up the game of her teams (Superleague, Grand Prix, World Championship, World Champions Cup, etc). She's reliable at least. Unfortunately, we couldn't say the same about Régis.
    In my opinion, Unilever's roster last year stepped up some issues from 2011/2012 related with passing and its overall game. Look at Juciely! She was great hitting and very important for the team because Fofão could use her a lot.


    This year Unilever lacks consistency because of that. Branca is not messing up our game on passing like Gabi, but her passing isn't good also. Almost ever it gives Fofão poor choices. Fofão is clearly getting on. She can't go after ball anymore. That's visible. She needs good passing. It's only watch her running after a bad reception to find out this. For a 43 years old woman each year could make a big difference on her shape.

    Good 1st set, unfortunately Uni fell apart in the end and couldn't hold on to the advantage. Sanja became a real leader of Osasco, well done!

    Malagurski was really the one who decided this game. With Sheila being out or sorts, Sanja is such a find for Osasco. Disappointed with Uni's performance and with overall level of play. Maybe it's because of 21points rule, but this year Brazilian league is no where near as exciting for me as in the past years.

    Yeah, I can barely get excited about the games this year and I'm pretty sure it's because of the 21 points rule.
    Very nice game from Sanja, I'm truly surprised. Osasco's reception line seems to be working a lot better too, which is crucial for them. Hopefully Unilever's able to improve soon too.
