So I'll assume that the missing players are going to Rio.
Zhu Ting, Zhang Changning, Yan Ni, Xu Yunli, Yang Fangxu and Ding Xia.

so 2 OHs, 2 MBs, OP and S, rest will fight for other 6 spots, so does it mean that Qiuyue Wei is out she's not on the list for Bangkok

as I mentioned in OG thread, I see 3-4 options:
- 3 OPs, 3 OHs and 1 L
- 2 OPs, 3OHs and 2 L, one as defensive sub
- 2 OPs, 4 OHs and 1 L - classic solution
- taking 4 MBs, so 2 OPs, 3 OHs, 1 L

I think that Jingi Shen is rather safe, the same with Xinyue Yuan, Lin Li and Ruoqi Hui

so 7 contenders for last 2 spots would be:
OP: Chunlei Zeng, Xianyu Gong
OH: Xiaotong Liu, Yanhan Liu
MB: Junjing Yang, Xiaoya Zhang
L: Zhan Chen

Wei has played Beijing Olympics and London Olympics, a lot of people are hoping that she will make it to her third consecutive Olympics. Well, she definitely has the skill to be the setter for the team.
In my opinion, with her experience and her style of play, there is no need for her to join any tournament to prove that she is capable to be in the list. Her problem now is her current condition as she has been taking a very long time to recover since her surgery. If she can show that she is physically fit to jump (for blocking) and able to move swiftly (for defense and setting) she will be in the list eventually. If she is not athletic enough for the team before the date to finalize the list, Shen will take her place.

We almost have the same lineup except for the setters, I'd take Ding Xia and Wei Quiyue.

the players who stay in Beijing are sorted as 2 divisions in my opinion.

the safe players in Rio, like Zhu Ting, Zhang Changning, Yan Ni, Ding Xia...
the other division of the ones who will not make the Rio Trip, like Wei Qiuyue, Yang Fangxu, Wang Mengjie....

Hui Ruo-qi is not in a good form at all. I hope Lang Ping cuts her out. but since she is the most favorable player for Lang Ping. It might not happen.

Really disappointing performace by China in this final round, especially from Shen, hopefully Wei will make to Rio..

Shen is playing without passion and precision.
She has been playing a few years with the members already but the connection is still bad.
Enough damage has been done to the team and i hope just like what the others have hoped, to see the better setters going to Rio.

What do you think will happen with Zeng Chun Lei?She was the captain of the team if I'm not wrong during the World Cup, now it looks she may not going to Rio... I think she's a precious player, fast, good in attack and on serve and she can also receive.. considering that both Zhu Ting and Zhang are not so good receivers, she could be helpful!

I think she has too much pressure being a captain and it affected her performance during World Cup.
But she is an all-rounded player and the coaches know her potentials well even though her performance since World Cup is not promising.
Her performance yesterday against USA proves that she deserves to be in the final 12 for Rio.

So It's not true at all. I really want Zeng Chunlei to go to the Olympics. As for the setters, I'm hoping it'll be Ding Xia and Wei Quiyue.
