Dirk Sauermann are not longer Coach in Erfurt
-
-
Dagmar Boom hasn't been in their roster for a few matches now without any comment, so it makes sense.
I'm really surprised about Sauermann resigning from Erfurt, I don't think any coach in the universe could achieve much better results with that team...
-
Official now, she's in their roster on VBL site. No info yet from the club, so also no info yet what's up with Boom
-
Update: Dagmar Boom returned to the Netherlands for personal reasons, thus the new transfer.

It makes no sense. Question of missing money to pay trainers salary? dispute with the management? At the moment for Sauermannn it will not be easy to get a new trainer job.

Today
16:15 Vilsbiburg - Stuttgart (Sport1)
Tomorrow
17:30 Dresden - Potsdam
18:00 Erfurt - Straubing
19:00 Wiesbaden - Münster

Stuttgart receiving line-up is really weak! Vilsbiburg took advantage of it by serving tough, so they were able to take the second set. Also Papafotiou doesn't have good connection with her hitters.

Vilsbiburg - Stuttgart 2:3 (15:25 27:25 11:25 25:20 15:17)

MVP: Myrthe Schoot / Maria Segura
Utterly weird match and low level overall. Stuttgart showed their potential in 1st and 3rd set, but they also showed that as soon as the opponent starts to push they get annoyed and aren't willing to fight as much as they should. This match should have been 3:0 for them but in 5th set they even had match point against them.

Those are some popcorn matches tomorrow. Dresden-Potsdam should be fun. The other two are big relegation matches. (are they still relegating two teams?/aren't they expanding the league?)
-
No team will be relegated. In fact I don't remember the last time a team was relegated regularly (i.e. not for financial reasons), it must have been Erfurt some years ago but no idea when exactly. As long as there are no teams from 2nd league that want to come up. nobody from 1st league will have to go down against their will.
-
Yes, for example Straubing was relegated for financial reasons a few years ago before they came back to first league later.

VCO maybe.

VCO maybe.
They're not a regular league team, they occasionally get to play in 1st league with special permission as talent team.
-
Dresden again provides a professional broadcast with multiple cameras Now we just need a good match to make it complete!
-
There is a problem with the heating in Dresden, so the substitutes are partially wearing winter jackets on bench
Nice match so far, both teams on an equal level. If only Potsdam had a better setter
-
I always like Sarah Straube when she comes on court! She is a stable setter Hope she will get more chances on court or transfer to another team next season where she can be a starter. I believe she will be the future on the setter position together with Kästner for Germany.

Don't forget Imoudu
Straube signed a 3 year contract in Dresden and she's from their youth, so she won't go anywhere. She's only 18 so she has plenty of time, but surely the goal of the club is to develop her into main setter at some point.

You are right! I thought she was older, but she is only 25😅
