Italian Women NT 2021

  • Is their any info about friendly matches ?!

I hope they will play some matches just to see how they work before Olympic and to go in rythm of games together.

L.Bosetti is not training with A team ?!

  • Egonu and Chirichella smiling on the same picture, I can't believe it, I read somewhere that they hate each other and we already have a drama in Italian team... <sarcastic emoji>

If I have to point out one female player I'd love to drink with, it's Sylla, she looks joyful anytime I see her.

  • I get a possitive impression about the team on this week 2

Good game, the team played hood to top teams with starters and were close to win but theh couldn't

Nwakalor finally showing why she get so much opportunities

    Both liberos are great

I wonder why bonifacio wasn't playing as she's best MB,dissapointing lubian so far and mazzaro so so....

Guerra and mingardi so much chances and never stand out...at least guerra is a little helpful

Melli surprised me against brazil and d'odorico is so unstable

  • this tournament shows clearly that nwakalor deserves to be the backup Opp instead of mingardi. It would have been nice to indeed see sorokaite in this tournament as well. Her shape was in decline, i wonder if she will perform any better than Nwakalor

  • I'm ok if italy send always this youngster to vnl as main team or at least 3 weeks

  • Go at Paola Egonu story on instagram and watch Monica De Gennaro sets to MB from behind :sos::super:

  • Tomorrow start week 4 and some notes

pivva and morello are ready to play but it worries the fipavsilence about qho they gonna replace,I think battistoni and omoruyi

Also they remain quite about squarcini situation,I completely forgot about her,she have an injury and couldn't play vnl

  • So that means

    Orro-Malinov

    Egonu

    C.Bosetti, A.Gennari, M.Sylla, Elena Pietrini/Sorokaite

    Fahr, Folie, Danesi, Christina

    De Gennaro

So only one player is gone be cut, I hope so it will be Sorokaite, but I would cut Christina and bring Sorokaite or Nwakalor.

  • For sure between Pietrini and Sorokaite, I would take Pietrini considering her talent and next cycle but Sorokaite wouldn't surprise me and she is a good serve sub

  • No L. Bosetti? Is she no longer in consideration for NT? I think she could still be useful as back row specialist or libero in case de Gennaro gets injured (heaven forbid).

It seems so, and I think it's good for both sides: Bosetti isn't NT material anymore, so she wouldn't make it regardless, and maybe she'll get back to physical shape with a free summer that will allow her to at least play regularly in a league. Gennari is a better player as an OH, and Parrocchiale is obviously much better as a libero.

She didn't play for NT or as starter in a club in 2 years, also her age and several hard injuries make her current shape bad

  • Are you sure you only bring 1 opp. You don't want egonu to be exhausted comes qf, semi, finals. Don't you? I'd rather bring 3mb or 3oh. It's risky to only bring 1 opp. You don't know what's gonna happen.

This is a short tournament, there's no legit argument for being exhausted, Egonu hasn't played an official game since May, she'll be fine.

It's risky, but if you think that four MBs can help yourself more than second opposite, do it. Several coaches took one opposite for the Olympic Games if I recall correctly, male Russian or Italian teams in 2012 for example. It's risky, but let's be honest, taking one libero or 3 OHs is risky as well, this rule of 12-man squads is crazy in a sport with 5 different positions.

It's short and it's more risky. You will have to play against at least 2-3 great teams and another 2/3 teams in the pool and you will not no if all games will play in 5 sets!! Takung 1 libero is fine when to have another 4oh that can play libero!

Just bring 3mb and 4oh and 2 opp. That's more balance than bringing 4mb and 4oh and 1opp?!
