The only official one that has actually called retirement, is Wilavan. The others has not made official announcement yet, so might see them or might not in the future at some point.

Piyanut has been sitting out the leagues recently and joining the coaching staff on the side. So she may be transitioning to be a coach like Wanna did eventually? But yeah with her age, she could still go longer if she wanted too. Though I wouldn't worry too much, the remaining libero and up coming young libero are good too. It's the setter position that I'm more worried about. Pornpun is the most experience and stable of the 3 picked setter, so if anything comes up and she is absent, the team will be in a lot of trouble.

Yep, nobody has come close to Pleumjit's level. But as far as blocking goes, I think Thatdao and Hattaya are better, but attacking is another thing. And Pleumjit can totally change the game atmosphere when she's on court. Her presence and leadership is unmatched. Especially the Pleumjit + Nootsara duel.

I think they may have to bring some of the seniors back at some point though. Especially for the important tournaments. Despite her age, Nootsara is still the best setter in Thailand imo.

No current setter can match Nootsara despite her age. Pornpun is the main setter now and she is best the of active nt setters, but still far away from Tomkom. I say Soraya would be the closest in setting styles to Nootsara. But she won't commit to the NT anymore.

Pornpun's sub main backup (Tichaya isn't absolutely bad), but rather unstable and inconsistent. Though she seems to be a good blocker due to her height. So she can at least help in that department when called in and in front.

I think Tichaya and Supatcha were chosen mainly for their height? But agreed, there are better options in TVL that could've been brought along instead. Mainly korat's backup setter and khonkaen main young setter.

Looking forward to seeing the new faces get their chance to play. Namely Sasipaporn, Thanacha, Kaewkalaya, Kuttika and jidapa and Hathairat.

Unfortunately she didn't get the call. I think a lot of players were chosen based on stats and performance during league games and Natthanicha was mainly a backup in her club team. But, yeah a lot of fans are upset she wasn't brought to camp.

is the head coach still Coach Danai? I would love to see korat's vc's coach take the lead for a change. Or how about Italian coach Fabio Menta?

agreed! though she should have gone her first time she was offered abroad in Europe, but now must be the right time for her. good luck to her wherever she is heading.

Yeah, some thai articles I recently read and other thai comments I've seen are mentioning Europe and not Japan. But I don't have much evidence besides those few stuff I've read to say it's a definite Europe or Asian bound yet.
