The KBS N Sports commentator team on Han Yoomi's channel:
Hillstate's photoshoot:
V-League will be broadcast overseas.

GTranslate:
Apparently v-league broadcasting rights have been sold to Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Mongolia, and Macau.
(and is in the discussion for Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar)
Supposedly they will be launching SPOTV and SPOTV2 (sounds like paid TV? sold by Eclat Entertainment? not sure)
Good move, they probably managed to sell it after coming off of last season's high ratings, but I doubt ratings will still be anywhere near last year's now😅 - even if coming after the Olympics.

Ah... SPOTV took over FOX Sports Asia, so besides the MotorGP, they'll broadcast the popular leagues in Korea and Japan.
Pretty much targeting the 650 million Southeast Asian viewers.

The league will likely get more SEA fans then, and perhaps after covid, maybe friendly matches and volleyball clinics?
it's a huge $$$ market.
I guess fans living in these SEA countries will no longer be able to watch full match replays on YouTube, since SPOTV bought the broadcasting rights in these countries = aka they're likely gonna be YouTube copyright striking down all the uploads or blocking them in these countries
SPOTV will probably upload match highlights on their own YouTube channel like in the past
(They had both full match & match highlights in the past, but that was also before they bought broadcasting rights in other countries which will be a paid service)
SPOTV below by Eclat Media Group
Good thing is sports will be more accessible to watch for SEA audiences, but goodbye YouTube full match re-uploads
“We have acquired rights for MotoGP and WorldSBK motorsport championships, tennis grand slams: Wimbledon and the US Open, and popular K-wave sports with Korean Baseball League (KBO), Korean Basketball League (KBL) and the Korean V-League volleyball competition with more events to come,” said a spokesperson from Eclat Media Group, the owners of SPOTV.
“We have secured a list of crown jewel properties from the international sporting calendar for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong as listed above. We will be launching in Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, and Thailand this October with more territories coming soon,” the spokesperson told the Post.

Full match on youtube is bound to be striked, just like last season. that’s why i just buy VPN services and watch on naver.
Plus the korean commentator is half the fun of watching games 😝
YouTube re-uploads all includes the Korean commentating too - just whether its SBS or KBS version haha
There are a ton of free Korean vpn options out there so I'm fine too, can just watch on Naver (both live & replay)
Last season's was struck off from some channels, but its still on other YT channels. Hoping it'll be the same this season as long as they're not proactive in seeking to strike them down lol
I can watch on Naver, but its just more convenient on YouTube + comment section
The Spike held a survey with the coaches of the clubs in the league.
Strongest Female Championship Candidate:
#1 Hillstate
#2 Hipass
#3 GS Caltex
Team most likely to be a dark horse:
#1 KGC
#2 IBK
Those would be my Top 3 candidates too for the first question, but kinda surprised the coaches think so as well & that KGC didn't make it into the Top 3.
Top 3 has the most balanced teams, despite almost no change to Hillstate's line-up, not sure why they played so poorly in the first half last season but they did play much better in the latter half of the season.
Other questions were,
Domestic player most likely to be top scorer:
- Park Jeongah
- Lee Soyoung
Most likely to receive Best Rookie Award:
- Park Sarang
- Park Eunseo

Just before league started 😓
And all this negative news, huft.
Well I guess this is media, I thought since people disliked them they would have lost interest since February, but the attention just keeps growing
There's been an update to that news though (which really seems like a whole k-drama)
DY's side is refuting his claims, saying they got married for 4 months in 2018 before divorcing. But her ex kept blackmailing her for either 500million krw or a real estate for divorce settlement, if not he would expose their marriage which is her private life to the public.
The timing he chose though, right after they got ITC & visa to leave for Greece. welp.
Personally would rather not want to find out about the private lives of athletes I know (unless they committed a crime & is charged in court for it), and just watch them play the sport
102nd National Sports Festival - U19 Girls' Volleyball Tournament
But back to the topic of volleyball
It's not new, but I just think its so amazing that Korea even covers their high school games and broadcasts them - even if on YouTube.
(they even cover middle school matches sometimes)
I saw some previous ones where they even had commentators and it was broadcasted outside of YouTube too.
It's crazy cause the quality of their high school broadcasts is even better than some other countries' professional leagues lol. Tracking, close-ups, replays, even professional commentating.
I wish my country had this too, think it can really help grow the interest as well as support in the sport.

Heejin on Breakfast With Tiffany is 808K views and counting (till 1 million!)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzJCqrIUFZc
They said they will film another episode together again if they can hit 1million, and BWT's IG has been reposting the video quite frequently haha
I think we can really expect another episode once it does, but views have definitely slowed down and there's still 200K more to go
