Wow. I really can't imagine any other team winnig national titles this season.
I can hardly believe this result, to be honest. Even if VakifBank might not have acting with the highest motivation.

Anyway, I expect by far the most resistence in the league for Stuttgart by Potsdam as in the last season. And IMHO the result of Supercup is unpredictable, because it is very early in the season (50:50).
VBs key players have just arrived after a long WCh, Stuttgart's main scorers didn't play in the WCh at all. Additionally both teams were substituting a lot. It's a great result for stuttgart but these were just test matches.
Still, I think Stuttgart is overpowered for most of the Bundesliga opponents this season. In a lot of matches the challenge will be to stay focused enough.
If Stuttgart stays healthy, they shouldn't have any problem in the Bundesliga.
Their CL draw is decent... But can they keep up with an Arina-led, Vargas-less FB? It will be interesting.
I agree, Stuttgart should be the strongest team this season, followed by Potsdam. In the Cup anything can happen because one bad (or exceptionally good) match can change everything, but concerning the league Stuttgart is the main contender for the title.
Behind that, I consider Schwerin a bit stronger than Dresden this season. The fight from 5th-10th place once again should be very interesting with many teams on a similar level, and Straubing and Neuwied should be the weakest teams again.

I agree. Schwerin has the stronger OH in terms of attacking. I think a lot will depend on how Grbavica and Berger are able to score. I an interview Waibl said both will be able to close the gap Storck has left but they will need time to adapt and improve. For now he adjusted his system to the circumstance that both are not reliable scorers yet. The test matches have shown that Straube uses the MBs and surprisingly Bock a lot..
Potsdam is doing great things. Last season they were outstanding despite Nogueras, Abercrombie, Ruddins and Speech left the team.
Stuttgart is expecting an audience of 5.500 next week at the supercup, Porsche-Arena will be almost sold out. Ticket sales have already exceeded Stuttgart's previous record attendance of 5.392 (a playoff match vs Dresden in 2016).
A huge achievement in my opinion considering it's just the supercup.

Ladies club volleyball has grown a lot in the last decade, or so, in Stuttgart - I remember vividly, when only a few 100 visitors came to a DVV cup match against Dresden in the first first league season 2008/2009 in a small hall (SCHARRena is available and used since 2011).

The season hasn't even started, but the bad blood between Dresden and Stuttgart due to Lara Berger's transfer continues. When she decided to go to Dresden, Stuttgart complained that they invested years of hard work with her and now she's leaving. Now Alex Waibl says in an interview: "It's obvious that nobody worked very much with Lara in the past, we are doing that now".
Who have more money there? Who is richest club? Why someone go from champion team to Dresden?

Because Dresden traditionally invests a lot of work in young German talents to help them become better players. Stuttgart hasn't exactly been famous for that.
Stuttgart spent a long time trying to make Berger an OH but she never learnt to receive. Let's see if Waibl's magic can turn her into a great opp.

Stuttgart has now the highest budget in the league and Potsdam may now have passed Dresden and Schwerin in this regard too. Berger has a chance for more playing time in Dresden as she had in Stuttgart.

Both teams with the expected line-ups, playing in a sold out hall
Cekulaev is back to her pre-Heynen serve and it's so much better than what you-know-who made her do
Emonts unstoppable so far!
As expected Potsdam is better as Dresden. Especially in attack the difference is obvious.
